Dear Value Maxis/Hotlink,

I receive your message from HotlinkGift on yesterday regarding RM5/monthly for the pas Mobile Internet 500MB.
May I know is this information/promotion is true from your Hotlink side?

The message content as below:-

Nikmati tempoh sah yg lebih panjang utk melayari Internet dgn pas Mobile Internet 500MB utk 30-hari @ RM5 (Tdk t'masuk GST).
Dail *100*1*4# utk membeli. (5550)


I tried to search your t&c and FAQ from your Hotlink and Maxis official website, but no found for it.
If this promotion really available for it, then I would like to ask several questions before decide to take this pas Mobile Internet 500MB as below:-

a) Once I subscribe this pas Mobile Internet, is it auto renewal monthly?
b) If this can auto renewal monthly, then is it still as usual RM5/monthly 500MB quota? Any changes for the following month, such as the pricing and data quota?
c) If this cannot auto renewal monthly, is it as usual dial *100*1*4# to purchase by UMB?
d) Once I reach the quota of 500MB/monthly, is there any pay per use charges after 500MB? Or the Internet speed will reduce without pay per use?
e) Is this 500MB will separate the quota? (E.G 250MB for unlimited Whatapps/Line/We Chat/Facebook while another 500MB for normal browsing and minor streaming)
f) Is this pas Mobile Internet 500MB available for unlimited Whatapps/Line/We Chat/Facebook?

Please be advised that it is a valid promo from Hotlink. You unable to find the T&C in the website because the offer is only for targeted customer.
Below is our answer for your Qs.

a) It is not auto renew but may buy multiple.
b) -
c) Still using the same method to purchase the pass
d) Depends on the rateplan. If you are on #Hotlink, no additional charges but browse on throttled speed. Other plan will be charge PPU.
e) It's not separate. Can be use for all type of browsing

Since it is not an auto renew, is there any possible this 500MB RM5/monthly for first subscription customers? Subsequently following monthly no more available?
In simple example, this month (Feb) I purchase your RM5/monthly 500MB, so next month (March) did I still can enjoy RM5/monthly 500MB?

For your information, my current plan is Hotlink Campus plan, but not #Hotlink. So is it will be charge PPU once exceed the data quota usage? If PPU, how the charges per MB or KB? Is it keep deduct my balance until RM0?

Just sharing feedback to you, your #Hotlink new plan is really famous of lousy plan shakehead.gif and has been removed some benefit such as Validity 365. Some-more, your new plan #Hotlink need top up RM30/monthly to stay account active. My usage is RM30 for 2 months.

The promo is only valid for certain period.
The PPU charges is 10sen/10kb and max charges is RM10.

Hi ,u need to top-up properly to see the Mobile Internet Promo in the *100*1*4# , instead of blank.
i mean u have to at least top-up with RM5 top-up ticket, ebilling,..and so on..
u MAY NOT see it , if u activated your line with SOS-TOPUP, ASk-A-TOPUP, and blah..blah.. blah..


Pls be noticed that, you UNABLE to use the Maxis Direct Billing at Google Play Store with this kind of Mobile Internet Promo.
Your transation will be declined.
You still need a formal weekly/monthly Mobile Internet Pass like RM6=150MB/7days (so RM3=150MB/1day is NOT an option. brows.gif ) , if u wanna buy sth from Google Play Store with Maxis Direct Billing function. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

As i had said in previous post, in order to show your 500MB/30days promotion in *100*1*4#,
u have to top-up at least RM5 with topup-ticket.
If u already tried it and the problem still presist, please don't mind to share more details.

Actually, I'm agreed with u that this can be consider cheating .
Especially , while user unable to take the full benefits(unable to use "Maxis Direct Billing" ) from the so called "Mobile Internet" Promotion ,
and they only can reliaze that after they already taken the Promotion ,and finally found out it is a simply useless Promo ,and a waste of $$$ and time . brows.gif
