QUOTE(carnbyresurrected @ Dec 25 2006, 03:05 PM) Linksys is your answer and streamyx is your problem..... I'm using linksys wrt45g as my router to connect my xbox360 thru wired and my laptop thru wireless. I've successfully connected my laptop but my xbox still could not get thru. The IP test failed. I guess there is IP conflict in the router. Haizz.....I'm running out of idea....

QUOTE(carnbyresurrected @ Dec 25 2006, 03:05 PM) ... streamyx is your problem..... Quoted for Truth. A 1mbps connection, honestly isn't that slow, but the thing with Streamyx (I've noticed) is that the latency to pretty much anywhere is terrible, and it handles multiple connections like dirt. Or maybe it's cos I live in an "education" area so there's lots of students overwhelming all the ports here with their torrents

Get something with built-in QoS or traffic-shaping feature if you want to download stuff and play at the same time.

I use an Apple airport Express.
Works like a charm too, put MAC filtering and a WPA password on it the 360 and the computers in my house run great from it, very little lag whatsoever, although if you set it up wrongly its a real pain because being apple very secure mah. hahaha cannot get back in to fix it.. but there is always overrider
