Dear All Sifu,
I have try, no need MOD or use sand paper like YouTube to sand the camera connector, it can flash, only need to set the Canon flash into manual mode…
But the drawback is, the lock at the flash only push half way, can’t lock…
Since I don’t want to buy Sony’s flash ( save $$ ), I wonder, can I;
-Just buy and Sony ‘shoe’ wireless transmitter plug into my Sony camera to control this Canon 580Ex II flash?
Hope any sifu can advise… Tku.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9Ob2CMTUOcThis guy demos even a YongNuo flash gun won't fire directly from that Sony hot shoe. But looks like Yongnuo trigger products work fine with sony. You can try a Yongnuo RF 603C II trigger for on camera flash. As in you put the trigger on the hot shoe and then the flash on the trigger hot shoe and maybe that will work.
