Greeting guys.

I have got a quick question. I have been receiving calls from private number for the past 4 months plus, The catch is the caller does say a word, Sometimes I can hear background songs, sometimes I can hear the caller breathing, and sometimes sound like fan is running in the background. In one day I will receive about 20 plus calls and also these calls last about 10sec each. I also receive this calls at midnight sometimes at around 3 or 4 in the morning.
I approached my cousin brother who is an inspector about this, according to him if there is no verbal threat from that call I cant make any type of report, and even I make a report only the officers will find out the number and deal with the person. I even tried scolding, shouting even cursed at the caller but still receiving the call. If I choose not to answer the call frequency is higher.
Im using maxis by the way and im using this number since 1998.
So here I am hoping someone will shed some light on this issue. Is there any chances that I can find out the number or identify the caller, is there any chances I can trace this number.
Please advice.

Just go make a report lah, then take the report, go complain to MCMC again. let them investigate and deal with the owner of the private number. Nowadays private number is so easy. just need to pay subscription to telco to get it.

by any chance I can obtain the number, I need to teach some lesson to the owner of the number.

Or you can call them back and let them hear your heavy breathing.

once I manage to the number im very sure I will do this.

not sure if ios, but for android can install call blacklist app and auto reject all calls with private number.

I will pick up the call and then just left it there
don't hang up, burn his credit(prepaid) or let him get a bill shock

do Police Report. It's harassment. also copy to MCMC

normally my phone set to answer & end call. phone log just show private number. zero ringtone/vibration.

nope dont think you can get the number unless it's a criminal cases...
i also have similar incident but it was 'No caller ID'...damn pissed..called maxis and they said report to MCMC..even maxis cannot barred these numbers

Block only. I too received such calls daily.

But I really need the number so that I can get "in touch" with my secret admirer.

err my case cannot block coz it's a 'No called ID' so meaning cannot trace the number

Same here. That's the prob. But it seems like there is some apps that can do it. Also there is a setting in our phone where we can limit to receive only calls from the numbers that exists in our phone book. But its a hassle, I receive a lot of call from my suppliers and customers..

Telco all have unlimited call now. Don't think this method will work.
