Hi all,

Here's my sharing on the places where you can sell or donate your secondhand wedding gowns and accessories (Or just clothes in general!)

1. Donate to charity (Clothes4Dawah bins, H&M Recycle Initiative)
Pros: Helping the needy is always great
Cons: You won't know if your clothes would be in the good hands of the right people who could benefit them, or ended up at the landslide. I mean, would you donate your wedding gown, designer brand clothes/bag or even a brand new Topshop or ZARA clothes that cost you few hundred ringgit?

2. Sell on fashion marketplaces - Closetstyles app
Pros for seller: Giving out free pick up and delivery.
Pros for buyer: no counterfeit items allowed, Money back guaranteed so if item not sent or not as per description, buyer get their money back.
Easy to get discount. Use a friend's username as referral code during sign up and get RM5 off.
Cons: Site for fashion items only. Other things not allowed.

3. Sell on General marketplaces (Mudah, Carousell, Shopee etc)
Pros for seller: Accept anything from phone, furniture to clothes.
Pros for buyer: Always gives out promo code discounts, you wait for them and they would announce some promo codes. Some sites: Money back guaranteed so if item not sent or not as per description, buyer get their money back. (Carousell no guarantee).
Cons: A lot of counterfeit items. No free delivery and you need to handle everything yourself. A lot of chap ba lang items in it - like a market.

4. Just pass them on to your maid, or friends!
