I did coating on mine and pay the local car washer at my area RM50 per month. One week wash 4 times, but if he see any birdbomb he will help me wipe away also, since it's very easy to come off. Specifically told him not to use soap. Most people discourage me because their cloth they use over and over again, may have pebbles or what not, but so far so good.. I can't possibly bring my car to wash 4 times a week, but also beh tahan when see my car so easy dirty

Anyway, forgot who mentioned that they miss their Vios, but not sure if they are unhappy with their M3.. I feel the same way. I loved driving my Vios, but cannot say I want to go back to my Vios after driving M3, but still like some gnawing feeling like something is lacking, haha. Frustrating indeed.

My M3 a month old now...done 1,458km so far.
Filled up about 41L of fuel tonight after 530km..which was basically a trip to Ipoh & back and short drives around KL for abt a week. Hardly revved more than 4K rpm. Pretty good for me...I suppose it gets better as I put in more mileage.

Say, has anyone tried KL Auto ? Not the chasis foaming bit but other stuff like the Quiet Drive wheel arch coating and those door insulation and rubber seals ?

How was the new 2016 FL Infortainment Navi Maps? Is it better then initial CKD as was told initial maps quite lack if POI? Is it still Tom Tom?

Same infortainment system for M3 and CX5 rite?

Can anyone tell me how many bars or fuel left until your fuel light comes on? Also, if anybody who averages 130km/h in your usual drive can tell me what's your driving range like, how often do you have to fuel in a month on avg?? Even when I drive slow below 3k rpm, below 110km speed I still for the life of me cannot even hit the 500km mark.

When I drove to Kuantan last time at avg 120kmh I got 600km ++ which is impressive for me, but not compared to others. I don't do harsh brakes and accelerate smoothly also. Gahhhhhh

You getting 14km/L is amazing. Notmally I believe this can only achieve by driving long distance on highway..

base paint is like light grey color. easy to get damage by stone. my old myvi more tahan lasak in paint .

Instead of coating, better do transparent wrap. Around the same price range of an expensive coating...

At least the wrap is a real physical protection, coating makes the car look really nice but not much substance when a real stone hit it...

I'm not exactly sure about the price, but a decent wrap cost around 3-4k for whole car with better ones costing more. I don't know about the maintenance part of it, can go ask the service provider.

I myself didn't do a transparent wrap, I don't have the $$$ for the time being. But my front end has some pock marks already as I drive rather fast on the highway. Maybe a little later, I'll do a coloured wrap as those cost lesser and can have unique colours without resorting to painting. Further, can remove it when get sick about it without damaging the original coat of paint and clear coat.

I don't think wrapping is going to protect you from insensitive car door opening by the car parked beside you. Anyway how long will it last before it starts bubbling, lifting and peeling? From what I've observed it looks terrible after 1 year.

Nope, my daily commute is just from Klang (near Eng Ann) to Sunway Pyramid and back. Sometimes go Klang Parade makan. (I have no life)
My best distance is 480km/h driving lightfoot. Usually around 380km already light up. My avg distance is 420km pumping 38litres. I am aware I can go further but it's alarming to passengers to drive with the light on.
Will take note, but usually after toll I straightaway accelerate to 120km in short stretch. Could that be why? Especially right after the i-city toll.
Same commute route then, except I go slightly faster. I have never gotten above 490km per tank before on my normal daily commute. Very disappointed. Only the one time when I drove up to cherating, and I was expected more than what I got (less than 650km).

Lights up at 2 bars and has about 12litres in it when lighted. I usually drive around a little on the last bar before I pump.

Our fuel tank is 51litres so the next time you pump, you can see how much you put in and confirm for your car how much is left in case there are slight variations car to car.

Yes, that sounds about right. When I pump usually is 38litres, so now I try to push to last bar, maybe that's why I feel like I don't get much mileage as most of you are getting.
Okay, will try your method. Your driving style and FC sounds like me so maybe you can be my benchmark. Hopefully can find out best way to save fuel but I no more lightfoot. Decided to close one eye to it. Work hard. Get money. Burn fuel. Hahaha.

Your fuel consumption for your M3 is very similar to MissHanz, getting about 450km - 480km per tank. Maybe this is typical for HS cars being heavier and shod with bigger rims. I'm getting FC like Ginny88 but both of us are driving GL.

no leh...im very gia si driver type...
but only 1 rosak...its not because of racing, it was "terhimpit" with the side bump...

so the tyre wall there pecah...cannot fix
