9.1L, i get similar fc when driving in ipoh for 3 days, seems like you hit a lot of traffic light and stop-and-go traffic or low speed uphill

but auto crusing at 90-110km/h on highway should balance that back to 8.0L/100km
*
If you get 9L/100km for full town driving full highway should be below 7L/100km and mix driving should be about 8L/100km. But MissHanz is getting 9.5L/100km for mixed driving. For MissHanz I think there is enough reason to get SC to run a diagnostic. The reason could be inaccurate O2 sensor or coolant sensor, defective thermostat or even a vacuum leak at the intake manifold. Something is causing the ECU to pump a richer fuel-air mixture than necessary.

Save your money for petrol or tyres la....if really want change rims, save up for a proper forged set. They are expensive but stronger and lighter then standard cast units.

Then call a workshop to come and jumpstart your car. Once your car is started just a short trip will recharge the battery.
*
Short trip can't recharge the battery sufficiently, need at least a 20km highway run for a good charge. There's possibility that the battery totally died as some battery cannot be revived after totally flat. After start, go to nearest workshop or service centre (if can claim battery).

I don't mean full charge. All you need is to charge up enough for another start. Even 20 mins of driving will do.

Nope, my daily commute is just from Klang (near Eng Ann) to Sunway Pyramid and back. Sometimes go Klang Parade makan. (I have no life)
My best distance is 480km/h driving lightfoot. Usually around 380km already light up. My avg distance is 420km pumping 38litres. I am aware I can go further but it's alarming to passengers to drive with the light on.
Will take note, but usually after toll I straightaway accelerate to 120km in short stretch. Could that be why? Especially right after the i-city toll.
Same commute route then, except I go slightly faster. I have never gotten above 490km per tank before on my normal daily commute. Very disappointed. Only the one time when I drove up to cherating, and I was expected more than what I got (less than 650km).
Wow you're from Klang huh?. For FC, i tried before from Klang to Penang manage to clock 5.2L/100km (speed about 90-100km). and total tank is around 670km. I refilled at ipoh if i not mistaken. On average i can clock 500km minimum for mixed driving condition with jam. What petrol you using btw?.

Do you really think so? I'll run that by them when I hit the 10k service mark. I didn't want to say that unless I was sure, but honestly I have to drive really lightfooted just to push 450 and I am pumping at least 4 times a month. I got my car end of January and I had 2 months where I had to pump 5 times. That's insane for driving to and from work ONLY.

I'll try to drive up to Penang on the weekends and see how it compares. I'm using Ron95 Caltex. Are you HS or GL?

Stop-and-go traffic only when I'm going home at after hours around 6pm lo. The batu tiga toll smart tag always long queue, then i-city, then the roundabout at eng ann. Okay I suppose that's a lot. But that route I only had 2 traffic lights max.

Your fuel consumption for your M3 is very similar to MissHanz, getting about 450km - 480km per tank. Maybe this is typical for HS cars being heavier and shod with bigger rims. I'm getting FC like Ginny88 but both of us are driving GL.
*
Mine is GL too and to be frank, i can always get more than 600km per tank. although im lightfooted, but i dont think it makes a difference this much. need to really raise this up to the guys at SC.

Wow. I guess I must be really light footed, honestly I am. I managed to get AVG 7.3/100km, that was before I reset after fill up. Pump 41 L, drove 530 or 560km. Damn I forgot. Lol

From the info u guys provided.. I think HS is indeed more FC than GL.. Maybe is due to the size of rim..

fuel trip meter at the car there will show 6.5L/100km average if you autocruise @ 90-100km/h on flat highway without many uphill

m3 fuel tank is 51L, so you can do the calculation yourself

damn you all can get such good fc, my right foot become heavier since i get m3, zoom zoom is too fun to drive rolleyes.gif

Yes, I think so. Getting 500km for mixed driving per 40L tank (8L/100km) should be easy but you are struggling to get 450km. Every highway has tolls and there will be traffic lights before and after the highway so this isn't the reason.

wow today manyak active. Btw as for FC my GL get around 550 up normally to 600. Normal highway and city drive. Light traffic jam on traffic light.

I change 1 of my tyre only as I kena on 1k+ mileage , change to Toyo R3. R38 so hard to find, and maybe only SC ada not to mention need to wait few weeks if order.

As for the battery, I have this question.
Is our battery good for jump start if really dead and also is our battery ok to jump start others car.

Only one way to find out - try it. nod.gif

But I don't see what's so special about our M3 that it cannot be jump started or jump start other cars.
