When left second bar, the fuel light starts showing. But will have no problems driving until zero bars as the reserve/unmeasured portion is about 5 litres.
I can average about 650km per 45L of RON95 petrol which is about 6.9L/100km or 14.km/L.
Does your place have a significant uphill climbs or got quite a lot of need to do overtaking? But I don't really feather footed and rather ah beng in early mornings and I still can get that fuel economy....
Nope, my daily commute is just from Klang (near Eng Ann) to Sunway Pyramid and back. Sometimes go Klang Parade makan. (I have no life)

What is your mix between city and highway? Getting 450km - 480km for a full tank (about 44L before light up) is not very good unless it is 100% city driving with traffic lights every short stretch. You should not need to drive carefully just to get 500km or more. My mix is 50% city and 50% highway and I'm getting 580 km per tank without needing to be light footed.
My best distance is 480km/h driving lightfoot. Usually around 380km already light up. My avg distance is 420km pumping 38litres. I am aware I can go further but it's alarming to passengers to drive with the light on.

i usually drive around KL on weekend only, my fc is averaging at 7.6L/100km, every time i pump is around 37-39L, i dont challenge myself until light on only refuel, i usually refuel when it left around 3-4 bar
last week i get 8.3L/100km because i went up genting by driving aggressively, so the total trip for that tank only last around 440km

i noticed that m3 use more fuel when < 4th gear, which mean is around 0-49km/h on normal drive so it is best to stay out of this speed as soon as possible
i wonder if mazda got use defeat device for their emission test

Will take note, but usually after toll I straightaway accelerate to 120km in short stretch. Could that be why? Especially right after the i-city toll.

I can easily get past 600 km before the fuel light comes on. Daily commute is Klang to SJ on Kesas highway with a few traffic lights beginning and end of journey. Usually going at 110 to 120 km/h when road is clear with bursts of acceleration for overtaking occassionally when I rev to 3500 - 4000 rpm. Weekends some short town trips. Usually I fuel up 3 times a month.
Same commute route then, except I go slightly faster. I have never gotten above 490km per tank before on my normal daily commute. Very disappointed. Only the one time when I drove up to cherating, and I was expected more than what I got (less than 650km).

Lights up at 2 bars and has about 12litres in it when lighted. I usually drive around a little on the last bar before I pump.
Our fuel tank is 51litres so the next time you pump, you can see how much you put in and confirm for your car how much is left in case there are slight variations car to car.
Yes, that sounds about right. When I pump usually is 38litres, so now I try to push to last bar, maybe that's why I feel like I don't get much mileage as most of you are getting.

MissHanz, this is not weird.. Once I pump full for my car.. The range on the meter show is about 600km.. But actually I only manage to get 450km-480km for a full tank until fuel light on. Mine also normally drive 110km/h - 140km/h if not many cars around.. and is control myself to be light footed some more.. If u want to observe ur driving style.. U could change the meter setting to "Current Litre/100KM".. At 1st gear and 2nd gear must special light foot and after 3rd gear maintain the current Litre/100KM is below 8Litre/100KM.. And u sure will get FC 500km/tank above..
Okay, will try your method. Your driving style and FC sounds like me so maybe you can be my benchmark. Hopefully can find out best way to save fuel but I no more lightfoot. Decided to close one eye to it. Work hard. Get money. Burn fuel. Hahaha.
