thanks for the article, really a good read

seems like they really maxed out the engine and we dont really need to throw any aftermarket engine mod to it

I did coating on mine and pay the local car washer at my area RM50 per month. One week wash 4 times, but if he see any birdbomb he will help me wipe away also, since it's very easy to come off. Specifically told him not to use soap. Most people discourage me because their cloth they use over and over again, may have pebbles or what not, but so far so good.. I can't possibly bring my car to wash 4 times a week, but also beh tahan when see my car so easy dirty rclxub.gif

Anyway, forgot who mentioned that they miss their Vios, but not sure if they are unhappy with their M3.. I feel the same way. I loved driving my Vios, but cannot say I want to go back to my Vios after driving M3, but still like some gnawing feeling like something is lacking, haha. Frustrating indeed.

Anyway, I update my own maps. Simple and painless affair.

@Chinoz and @Jasley,

Thanks for the replies, and sorry for being late to respond.

OK, will update the gps map myself. I had to wait quite some time for the SC to install the new map.

My M3 a month old now...done 1,458km so far.
Filled up about 41L of fuel tonight after 530km..which was basically a trip to Ipoh & back and short drives around KL for abt a week. Hardly revved more than 4K rpm. Pretty good for me...I suppose it gets better as I put in more mileage.

Say, has anyone tried KL Auto ? Not the chasis foaming bit but other stuff like the Quiet Drive wheel arch coating and those door insulation and rubber seals ?

car owners in other thread complain about rattling noise and parts failing, but we talk about our car being dirty laugh.gif

m3 and vios is a totally different car la, i does better in city driving while the other you drive 150km/h on highway still give considerable mileage per tank

the way the driver handle the car also have to be change, both car handle differently, when you need extra power from the m3, switch gear to M mode and downshift 2 times brows.gif

you need to give more love for your car, feel it and stay connect with it, it deserved your love

not good enough, try to aim for 600km per tank, usually we compare fc by km/L or L/100km, not by tank

fc will increased dramatically in ipoh area because of slow driving and a lot of traffic light stop

anyone know what's the use of the fuel trip meter with AVG xx km/h display? when i get my car it stays at 22km/h, after i pump fuel and reset now it stay at 37km/h, i dont think my average speed is that slow hmm.gif

Got it from a few customers who have serviced in our center.

Keep RPM below 3000 , don't go more than 110km/hr

On a CX-5 & M3 Skyactive , able to get near 800km for a full tank.

For those looking at Coating, some are better quality, some are just the normal type. However, whatever coating you use, its still up to your maintenance of the car to keep the coating shine & glossy as usual.

We miss the fuel economy and the fantastic brake modulation from the Vios, other than that, all else the Mazda3 is thumbup.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

(Maybe also the irritating front suspension noise.....)

I think MissHanz or someone else did say the service centre technician did something about the brakes...

Because it is the average against the total driving time including those times that you idle your car just for the sake of aircond, stuck at traffic jam, wait for traffic light or start the car for no reason but not driving it, etc...

Mine now is 45km/h after one month of rather spirited driving biggrin.gif

firmware is model specific, dont think it can crossover, just like rom for android phone

map should be universal for all mazda Skyactiv model

POI not my concern, it lacks of road as well, sometime it show me driving offroad because there is no road at the map doh.gif

and the voice guidance is the worst ever when it pronounce those street name in BM, and if it cant pronounce it will skip

Can anyone tell me how many bars or fuel left until your fuel light comes on? Also, if anybody who averages 130km/h in your usual drive can tell me what's your driving range like, how often do you have to fuel in a month on avg?? Even when I drive slow below 3k rpm, below 110km speed I still for the life of me cannot even hit the 500km mark. rclxub.gif

When I drove to Kuantan last time at avg 120kmh I got 600km ++ which is impressive for me, but not compared to others. I don't do harsh brakes and accelerate smoothly also. Gahhhhhh
