yes, there will be improvement... but remember to do heatshield and cold air intake so ur car wont be sucking in hot air inside ur engine bay...

expect an increase in acceleration with an open pod

Hi, I got a second hand one for sale. PM me for the price. The fibre altho looks dirty, is still usable, being used for like 3-4 months, but if you want to buy a new one, it costs around RM80 for a good 3-layer fibre.

-exhaust noise will increase
-fuel consumption will increase
-maintenance cost on filter will increase.

yes... it can be washed and reuse... so, its lifetime usage...

yup about the fuel consumption being higher is not true unless ur AF ratio went out of tune

ABout exhaust, debatable too, my friend install the HKS open pod with s-flow muffler, his open pod sounds louder than the exhaust itself

besicly.. you at night.. find a quiet plcae. *less car, ask one of ur friend follow you..
and.. do some test drive..
1st you drive that stretch.. floor it.. anyway.. just drive! then.. stop..
2nd remove your current air filter and... drive + floor it..

what diffrences you feel... and.. changing better air-flow filter = somewhere in between with stock air filter to no air filter at all...

just tell it.. and tell me you like it or not.. lol

this seems to be a cheap altenative to get a good filter
but strongly not recommended

HKS Super Power Flow is design not only the filter element,
but also the filter shape is designed to cause higher and faster air flow.

it show tat on the bottom the filter cone shape create a vacuum space which will result in higher air flow into the filter

HKS filter
- washable by clean water, last for 2-4years
- generally believe higher air flow
- filter element can be change , 2/3 layers available price around RM80-90

K&N filter
- washable by K&N cleaner kit ONLY, lifelong usage
- MUST clean + reoil every 50000-100000km usage
- generally believe better filtration
- cleaner kit available around RM65-90, 5-10times usage

for open pod filter,
heat shield is a must.
without heat shield,
ur open pod just won give u as much power gain as u expect
and it will be fuel comsumption as well.

if u really wan "high power" "great sound" "best budget"
try to get a second hand hks power flow
which the element already old/spoilt
grab it cheap cheap around RM50
and change the HKS element to
2layers - higher air flow
3layers - better filtration
the price for both is same, RM80-90
