Hmm...as i knw, asian and us set both can play US version game, but asian set don't have nintendo club points, but i feel that one is not necessary for me, cuz they will only deliver the exchangev product to US, not Malaysia.
Warranty is different, and adaptor. 😁

Well... Nintendo NX is coming out by the end of 2016 (rumour), but when it will be available in Malaysia is another story.

I just replaced my old 3DS XL for the new 3DS XL, and am having tons of fun with it. Get the Asia set since it has warranty locally rather than US set. Unless you're willing to risk it and it has significant discount over the Asia set.

There is no more club nintendo, so there is no difference between the 2. You can still access the US eshop using the Asia set, so no worries there.

In other words, just buy if you want to play Nintendo games la... Zelda, Mario, Ace Attorney etc is great on the portable biggrin.gif

if 3DS:
Be patient and wait for the inevitable NX release.
Then grab all the 2nd hand 3DS games at garage sales before you buy the 3DS.

if NX:
Do not buy a console at launch... Wait til there are must buy games, don't buy for remaster or Nintendo pay upgrade fee to play prev. gen. games.

Just my 2-cents, wait for Nintendo to announce news for the NX. From there, only decide whether you wanna buy 3DS or not.

Getting a 3DS is also slightly pricey ( kindly do pricing research before purchasing one nod.gif )

I would suggest you to get the New Nintendo 3DS as there is now the 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS which confuses people.

As suggested by Nill, any old games, buy 2nd-hand better.

Here is still the best place, other than that you'll probably need to find good deals on Play-Asia, Lelong.com.my or etc

I'm part of the #PCMASTERRACE but I still love my nitendo 3ds in every single way. The replay value of most of the game is the best. Personally, it is the only console that I would keep playing a single player game over and over again. Resale value is very good too for most games so there is really not much lost there. Highly recommended for you to buy now.
