In this situation , LvG is not a guy for the future . He's brought in for short term stabilization and success , what's the point of keeping him if he cant even do that ? He's not young and potential , its not like we might see the best of him in 5 years .

Picture this : If we bring in a 28 year old player who should be in his prime for short term success , season 1 did OK , met the minimum expectation , we keep him for 1 more season hoping for at least more of the same . 2nd season he starts to crumble and his form is on and off , being bad on most of his days . Do we still keep him ?

This whole season same pattern , when we keep drawing and losing , rumors goes : Van gaal to be sacked etc suddenly we start winning a couple of games and " we can win the title " ( same as last seasons's "philosophy" kicking in ) then boom we start losing and playing like schoolboys again.
