The most annoying thing is not Utd's performance. It's that stupid new sponsor's advert. Pipipipipipipi!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

Looks like we will have to overhaul Arsenal instead of City. Come on Palace! *groan* puke.gif

Much like the Moyes appointment, the obviously better candidates that would match at the time were all unavailable (and would not leave their clubs at that precise moment) so it was a logical "compromise". Which begs the questions...

1) why the eff do we keep ending up in situations where the high profile managers we would like to hire are unavailable when we want to change ours?!
2) does this also reflect very poorly on our pool of options i.e. how come we are not scouting better when it comes to lower profile (i.e. not the men of the moment) managerial candidates?
Entertaining until kena flamed for 80 crosses vs Fulham. Also, his general record vs the "big" teams was not good enough.
In general, I'm more annoyed last night that Martial got benched (and this has nothing to do with my FPL team -4 to bring him in this week  dry.gif )

Martial - Rashford - Lingard combo offer mobility and speed.

Breaking them up to roll in el Kapitan and Memphis into the starting 11 is not going to help them improve their understanding / rapport / coordination, and neither Rooney nor Memphis have shown form to justify breaking up the 3 as a starting option.
*
Let's face it. Rooney is a spent force. Yeah he was OK for patches in the first half but in the second more a liability. Memphis again disappoints although he did show flashes of brilliance. I would reserve my comment on him until his 2nd season, if he survives the 2nd season that is. Scneiderlin did nothing while Felaini was just a lump of wood despite what people said about his West Ham game.

What was obvious is Utd's inability to penetrate defenses. LVG's insistence on Mata to play on the right & occasionally cuts into the middle is a failure to say the least. And asking Mata to track back to help in defence is as good as asking a camel to juggle a ball. It's therefore imperative that Utd give getting a creative midfielder their top priority. Rooney is not the answer nor solution.

Man City and Arsenal have to play each other. We are 4 points behind them. One of them have to drop 2 or 3 points that match. So we need them to lose 1 more match other than Man City vs Arsenal.

And this is provided that we win all our remaining fixtures, which is not possible for this season especially we have yet to face Leicester City.

PS: Arsenal is expert in the 4th position, so I'll say our chance is all but gone
*
When were our chance ever good to get that 4th spot? Put it this way. City finishing 3rd eliminates that permutation of 4th place not getting into UCL. That is all we have to cling on to. And the FA Cup of coz. And for that, we will have to be leicester's party pooper.

Well, every team has their own talisman. Some have more some less. You can also say the same about these teams...

Leicester (Ranieri/Vardy/Mahrez/Kante)
Spurs (Pocchetino/Kane/Alli)
Arsenal (errr....who?)
City (Aguero/De Bruyne)
United (DDG/Rashford)
Hammers (Bilic/Payet)
Liverpool (Kloop) tongue.gif

They did their part already now is our turn 2 do our part laugh.gif rclxms.gif

Well, yes. We have to win every single remaining fixtures. And one of City & Arsenal have to lose another match & that might happen when these 2 meet at the Etihad on the penultimate weekend. Talk about cutting it close. sweat.gif

The perfect scenario is that we win the remaining 5 matches,
Man City lost to Arsenal,
and despite the ManC win, Arsenal lost another 2 matches.
Then we will be Third!!

We can always dream!! Hahaha...
*
Err..4th will do coz if City finishes 3rd, the permutation of 4th can't qualify to UCL will not apply. Besides, laughing at Arsene is good enough biggrin.gif

It's worrying that the corresponding fixtures earlier in the season only yielded 3 points. 3 draws & 2 losses. So it's not gonna be easy. Out of the 5, only Bournemouth have nothing to fight for. Palace could potentially rest some players ahead of their FA Cup semi this weekend. We can't afford to rest anyone unless we do the job in the first half. Looking at most of our first half at Old Trafford this season, I'll say this is impossible.

Expected but it was a derby. Everton shamed themselves. Lose to Utd this weekend & its swan song for Roberto.

Spurs choking big time. Now their chance of becoming the champion is quite slim. Even if Utd beat Leicester, Spurs have to beat Chelsea away to take the championship to the penultimate weekend. No Vardy, still got party

Leicester has been playing the same tactic for ALL their games this season!! So obvious, but seems unstoppable...

Don't ya worry kiddo. LVG is gonna bored LC to death then strike the killer blow. They can't counter attack if we pass sideways & back the whole match brows.gif
