AFAIK only 4k/UHD TVs support HDR.
Never seen any 1080p TV support that feature.

yeah, was watching some youtube video - i think it was a dev commentary or one of the ps blog commentary videos, and they had a 4ktv with no HDR.

games optimised with PS4Pro in mind may have visual changes/frame rate changes depending on the developer/publisher's "vision" for their product
was thinking of samsung ks7500, but nothing set in stone yet. we'll see how it plays out once HDR(and the games, ofcourse) is released for PS4. (Still best to test it out)

If i were you, i'll straight to get the PRO, no matter the 4K or HDR.
If you have budget constrain then go for slim version. RM1100.. is quite worth it.

Honestly if even heavyarm is not getting sufficient stock, don't expect other shops to get more than 10 units. At least heavyarm is providing a solid number and knows what batch you are in, other shop just blindly accept orders, there's 1 small shop say they are getting 200 units. Either way, expect December to be the earliest we will get our units. Maybe lucky ones will get it mid November.

Supposedly I've confirmed with the shop multiple times that we will be first batch, he told me this time Sony is assigning much more units, but looking at what is happening now, I think December is the "first batch" and a lot units will be here on December. I would honestly be happy to receive my stock in December but I have a feeling they will push us to at least 2017.

HeavyArm slots are being assigned all the way to 2017. Either there's like 50 units in Malaysia, or there's seriously a lot of people getting the Pro.

even if you're on 2nd batch, you should be entitle for extra benefit like extra 1 year warranty and so on.

I know how you feel, I was on the brink of selling my PS4, someone wanted to COD with me the next day on a good price, but then after going through the PSVR delay phase, I learned my lesson not to risk it (Just bought Robinson and Eagle Flight for my PSVR this week).
Worst case being 2017, I still have to play my FFXV coming this month.

Honestly I think you should really stick with it, did they told you, you will be 2nd batch and the date? If it's no later than December, stick with it.

atleast heavyarm support is great, they update you on these stuff. SP&K and other shops is laughably terrible. Ask them a few question, they got frustrated and told me to not buy from them.
