Tried remote play on my retina imac. OSX 10.11.1
Well, as mac don't support a lot of games... this is the closest I can get.
720P, 60FPS, no lag. Everything seems really smooth. Everything is connected via Cat 6 cable with a Asus AC66U router.
Speed is cap at 720P though. No option to select 1080P.

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Aug 22 2016, 11:46 PM) The original PS1 looked better than the PSOne. The original PS2 looked better than the PSTwo. The original PS3 looked a million times better than the PS3 Slim and the PS3 Cheap & Slim. Why would it be surprising if the PS4 slim looked worse than the current (soon to be fat) PS4? To each his own, but I feel PSone > PS1. Original was a bit too far and bulky PS2 > PSTwo. The slim version was just too flimsy. PS3 slim > PS3 > PS3 Cheap and slim. The PS3 slim is very similar to the current PS4. Not to flimsy but not a fingerprint magnet. I'm not really interested with the ps4 slim though. More interested in the ps4 Neo haha.

QUOTE(chinti @ Sep 7 2016, 04:44 PM) hmm, guess should b fine as long as connection is good. using astro isp at home. should i wait for sony to announce ps4 neo and slim so they will cut the current ps4 price? I think the slim will just replace the current one. The current one will then be *obsolete* I've tried remote play to a mac a few times and it should be alright as long as it's wired and it's not a FPS. Too bad it's only 720P It's much better than remote Play to vita performance wise.

QUOTE(raymondtong94 @ Oct 13 2016, 08:43 PM) But currently there isn't much difference in loading time between ssd and hdd? I think it's more than just a sata2 bottleneck.

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Oct 14 2016, 07:38 PM) No, no, no, no! SATA 3 provides more bandwidth yes, but due to the file format system used by the PS4 and how game data are compiled, the PS4 simply will not take full advantage of a SSD even if it's given a SATA Express interface. The amount of blind talk and wall banging on reddit/neogaf talking about how SATA 3 on PS4 pro is a revolution is insanely stupid. SATA 3 will provide a speed boost to SSDs on the PS4 pro. But if one is expecting a day/night difference like how it would be on a Windows PC, they'd be sorely mistaken (again, 99% of the people on reddit/neogaf will bash you to hell for talking about the truth). For HDDs, it means nothing basically as even the fastest HDD in the world today still cannot fully saturate a SATA 2 interface. Yeap, I remember reading about a test between SSD, HDD, and a Hybrid drive. Pretty much no significant difference at all. I rather spend that amount on a better controller haha This post has been edited by LegendLee: Oct 14 2016, 10:08 PM
