i think i'm gonna stick with PS4. If want to upgrade to PS 4 Neo, need to upgrade my TV first. Was planning to try 4K TV but not anytime soon. Anyway would like to see what's other new things that come together beside the console itself.

This I like more than 4k. They should have enough power that is if they optimise the Games for it.

dont think worth it to replace the current to the PS4_Neo unless you plan to get a very nice 4K tv as well as getting a PSVR device. Although the cost is USD399 (estimate?) not sure when it will ship to malaysia or the cost here. i guess a lot of sellers may bring in a US version and mark up the price by like RM500? so a RM2k console?

PS4 Neo? 4.5 or whatever...... Perhaps Sony is getting too comfy and forgotten how it won over Microsoft's Xbox One, it was the hard earn money of some 38million PS4 owners that put Sony on the current gen throne. If Sony screw the supporters, time will tell who will be screwed the worst.

Yeah, perhaps the victory of the current gen PS4 over Xbone has blur the focus of many (console makers, game developers and gamers):
Except for the current gen, most console wars were not won by the console with better hardware, but with better games selection:
- PS1 vs other Japanese consoles (PS1 was definitely not the prettiest at that time, yet it won);
- PS2 vs first Xbox (Xbox graphic was MUCH better than the pixelated PS2, and we all know who won);
- PS3 vs Xbox360 (PS3 graphic was much superior to Xbox 360, yet Xbox360 was the winner).
If any console maker thinks that they need to catch up to PC standards, then perhaps they should just produce gaming PCs and quit the console market, simple as that.........

i am planning to get the Neo as i have not purchased PS4 yet.

For PS5, i think it will be quite a long time to wait, so enjoice the new upgraded version of PS4 first.

But early adopters can still enjoy on basic PS4 no problem.
After all, we here for the storyline/gameplays, not really graphics whores am i right?

Na no matter what Xbox can't win. Previous gen there only won the USA market from day one onwards. But for rest of the world they still go Sony becoz Microsoft give no damn to other countries besides their own. So no matter what they cannot win.

As for the console upgrade Microsoft Xbox one also coming with upgrade.

Nope, that Spencer guy from Xbox has already denied the speculation of Xbox1.5 and also denied the possibility of gpu add-on for current xbox one. The only rumor left unclarified is PS4.5/neo.

That's a pretty weird observation, I own Xbox360 but didn't own PS3. But I can definitely see certain flagship title of PS3 on demo in game shop showing much better graphic quality than any Xbox360 titles I own. I could be wrong but from what I read the general consensus was PS3 is prettier than Xbox360, but it takes lots more hardworks from the game developer to fully utilize that sony cell processor.
