Did you preorder your unit? Impulse will only advise after 2-3 weeks.bangwall.gif

I preordered yesterday, haha. All of them have been fully booked by today though.

My advise to you is to call as many Sony Centers as you can. Sony Curve got theirs yesterday, Midvalley today. Sony KLCC is getting theirs next Monday or Tuesday. Not sure why the schedules are that strange.
*
Damn! That's hella fast! I'm probably gonna do a walk in next time. Their stocks are probably all booked by now.

Pretty detailed......whatever you are. Checkerboard rendering almost imperceptible. No indication what resolution it's running. Colors vibrant enough to think it's HDR although slight color banding on the blue skybox reveals its 8-bit color.

EDIT: URGHH. Low res textures and geometrical detail once the demo starts. Looks like a PS2 game.
*
WOW! Last time I played it, I was pretty disappointed how it looked like but that checkerboard rendering did the trick. It looks sharp! How are the frame rates and in-game visuals?

For those of you who are discouraged to pursue with your PRO pre-order, i'll be glad to take it from you biggrin.gif

I'm pretty sure the PRO heats up hotter than previous model as it runs a higher resolution that stresses the PRO out but it won't be too much to the point that it would melt stuff inside of it lol

Am now curious how high a temp to does it take to bend the plastic casing....
*
Don't worry bro. It requires a temp of 100+(or even more) degrees celsius to melt a plastic. I don't think the engineers or designers will let that happen. The PRO doesn't even run native 4k to perform such processing power that will result in heat that could melt its parts.

As far as I know, there are no Black Friday deals for the Pro.

The retailers are really having a hard time to get their hands on the Pro. It's just crazy. For those of you who can't wait, best bet is to preorder from Sony or from their affiliates(Heavy Arm, M4G, etc.)

I agreed with recommendation of 49" KS7000 from all the above posters. You get a entry level SUHD at a good price and fulfilled all the criteria for the current 4K HDR gaming. I got one too from 11 Street at Rm3300 after "Tech Tuesday" discount and voucher (standby to get the voucher at 11am every Tuesday or it will be out of stock fast).

That was the best TV buying decision that I've done. You will be blown away when you play the 4K HDR demo movie on the KS7000.

Now I'm just waiting for the PS4 Pro from Game Hypermart. Hope you can decided what you gonna get soon!
*
KS7000 is the best bang for buck TV for HDR gaming in the market now. Btw, where did you get the 4k HDR demo?

Wow, I haven't tried that. Well mine is only KU6000 and i've yet to see the HDR indicator or my TV doesn't support it? Let me try it out. I'm prepping up for the PRO smile.gif

I know for sure that KU6000 supported HDR10 but it lacked the "wide colour gamut" capability to display the HDR properties properly. Your TV doesn't have the required brightness (over 1000 nits) for HDR10 but it still support the HDR10 format, but display not as good as those TV with "wide colour gamut".

For example, in the Samsung HDR - Wonderland demo, those with "wide colour gamut" TV (e.g. KS7000) will see the sunlight covering the mountain like a real sunlight. The sunlight reflection on building windows in the demo also reflected like in real life. The clouds colours are lifelike just like you would see up in the sky. That how amazing HDR are and no, I'm not exaggerating.

Thanks man! I've yet to do a comparison on a TV set as the content on the net won't give justice as compared to what you see in person. I wonder how it would translate to video games tho. I have yet to receive my Pro sad.gif

Aren't they all talking about PS4 Pro compatible TV right now? Or are those discussion have to be done in the "Entertainment" thread? Welp I'm confuse.

Anyway I think I saw someone mentioned that they want to go look for PS4 Pro in SG. Maybe a few pages before this tho but there is no update from him yet. Haha
*
Not all post but some post are more towards TV functionality, comparisons and such. I'm no moderator but I guess that can be discussed on another thread.

Btw, I just saw a video from Digital Foundry that the fastest way to transfer the files from your old PS4 to the PRO is through an external HDD. The Ethernet cable process took 9 hours for a 300 plus GB worth of data shocking.gif

Impulse told me I'll will be getting my Pro end of Dec.... I was like wth, they told me I'm number 13 on their pre order list, from now 'till end of Nov they can't even get 5 or 10 units? This is so f'up.
*
When did you preorder? Mine was actually 16 Sept. and I was told I was top 5 from the list. They ain't even sure yet how many units they can allocate. I don't want to cancel the preorder cause I know for a fact that there are already pending preorders from other shops so I don't want to be at the end of the queue sad.gif

That's also my dilemma right now. Cancel G5 pre-order and I have to start back queuing at other shops. If I choose to stay with my G5 pre-order I don't even know when I'll get the Pro.  bangwall.gif  bangwall.gif
*
Where is G5 bro? I'm tempted to order from Amazon but still contemplating cause it cost a fortune for the shipping and it might get stuck in Customs. mad.gif

I don't understand this. SP&K, GH and Impulse have all received their first batch, even tho its in limited quantities.

I have asked Gameon, and they told me they have not even fulfilled ANY orders at all. Seriously they are one of the worst vendors of the PS4 Pro.
*
I was checking on Impulse's FB page but couldn't see a PRO that they've released. I was told to check on their page for updates. Check both Sunway and Johor branch.

Anyone here paired ps4 pro with 1080p tv? How's the hraohical upgrade compare to standard model? Is it worth to get the Pro without 4k tv?
*
I actually upgraded the TV first to 4K but my PRO order is still pending so I couldn't tell. What I can tell you about 1080p graphics on 4K upscaled doesn't look good. The color seems to be washed up and to me, it's kinda blurry. My old Samsung TV FULL HD looks better than 4K. I wonder if it can be calibrated to look better.

It's kinda odd that the number of PRO is very limited in the ASEAN region. Stocks in Western countries and even Middle East are abundant. I saw in a post that Qatar already have the FFXV in retail. Although the ones in retail are the leaked versions(it has spanish language written in it),they're really taking their gaming community seriously.
