Different. Redmi 3 currently not announced in malaysia yet, so for Redmi 3 you can only get imported set, warranty under seller. Redmi note 3 you can get local set, warranty from xiaomi malaysia. Redmi 3 suits your need as it is 5 inch while redmi note 3 is 5.5 inch.

Phone shops do sell redmi 2 enhanced, try nego with them, or request some free gift such as case and protector glass. dont buy with ksangang dupe lol haha for accessories just buy at lelong if u prefer online.

I'm looking for a a small (about 4.5" screen) android phone with long battery life & a bit of water resistance. Cheap would be a bonus. Performance & gaming isn't a big deal. Recently broke the screen on my old moto g which has served me well for the last 2+ years.

Posting in a wrong section (oops) i got 2 recommendations so far:
1. XiaoMi Redmi 3, 5" screen, 4100mah battery
2. Sony Xperia Z5 compact.
