Dear OTAI,

just a simple question... i am using ASUS n55sf laptop...already upgrade SSD..

and now i need to upgrade my RAM... because of faulty ram...

can Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) Laptop Memory (CMSX16GX3M2A1600C10) compatible with N55sf?

i check the MHz is not a problem, may cut the perfomance o 1333MHz only.
but can PC3 12800 ..compatible with ddr3 SODIM For this MOBO

currently using windows 10 x64.

** SORRY IF WRONG SECTION **

usually no prob..
even if mobo capped at 1333,
then the clock speed of ram will adjust accordingly
means new ram (1600) will only work at lower speed (1333)
correct me if i am wrong

btw,how can laptop ram become faulty?

Thanks for the feedback,
im not sure how it became faulty, basically before that i using 8gb ram, then after 2 years. my pc starting to hang and the usage of ram is 100%... after i remove one 4gb ram, everything goes normal.

then i tried to put back the 4 gb ram... the pc wont turned on anymore.. thats it, i remove one 4gb everything fine.

untill recently i think, 4gb of ram is not enough, because photoshop/illustrator/after effect only already used up 2-3.5 gb of ram.

so i want to upgrade the ram...
for the the speed of RAM (MHz) is solved..

i just wanted to know whethere (PC3 12800) is suitable for my MOBO RAM SODIM socket..

i did some research, i found it is fine, but just want to make sure of it....basically both are DDR3... but is compatible..
i dont want to wasting money here...hehehe xD

to be extra safe,go to the store and ask them to install new rams in front of you..
online shop save 20-30 bucks but risk of compatibility issues
i can safely say 1600 rams will work
always seek other opinions if u are not too sure
