Cable brand not be much different. For a RM 200 HDMI 1.4 cable vs a RM 30 HDMI 1.4 cable, i will go for RM 30.

Unless going for super duper long cables like 25ft.

I want to warn everyone that those rm20 or less HDMI cables cannot actually send 4k at 4:4:4 60fps. I've tested like 12, all from different brands (though their OEM is most probably the same), none of them could despite being labeled HDMI 2.0. Lulz..

Hdmi 2.0 so new in the market, don't think the cable is cheap, wait bit longer. For anyone that don't need 2.0, 1.4 or 1.3 is good enough and is not expensive.

That's why I'm warning people.
On Monoprice or Amazon, a HDMI 2.0 cable is only 2 dollars more (generally) than a HDMI 1.4 cable.

Only in this cut-throat market of malaysia where a drop-in spec replacement is priced triple the price of the previous spec. Go figure. doh.gif rolleyes.gif  shakehead.gif

*and no, HDMI 2.0 is not "so new" lol. It's been out for over a year.

Still got many old stock 1.4, 1.4a/b, maybe some just relabel to 2.0. How many home users really use the full bandwidth of 2.0?

That's not the point. A product should do what it says is if labeled as so. A HDMI 2.0 cable should be a 2.0 cable, not 1.4 or whatever just because a very small minority uses it now.
So for those who actually has a 4k TV that does proper 4:4:4 at 60fps should be forced to pay a premium then? No logic there man.
