Hi there, I recently applied to volunteer at UNHCR but they're not looking for anybody at the moment. I want to volunteer to teach Maths/English/Computer skills to kids or even adults (doesn't matter if they're refugees or rural etc) during weekends. I live in Sungai Long but it's possible for me to travel around Selangor/KL. Do you guys have any places in mind? Thank you very much rclxm9.gif

teach the real kids who needs education please
go to orphanage or pedalaman or any school that has the worst result class being abandoned by teachers.

if you got result teaching malaysian, then baru talk teaching the refugees.

PS: well, in case you still insist on teaching refugees : http://www.unhcr.org.my/About_Us-@-Contact_UNHCR.aspx
or direct contact your surperior in UNHCR, they sure can help you.

Hello! Here are a few places I know of:

http://www.meetup.com/CyberCare/events/228673927/ (it's recurring; have been here before)

I know you said weekends only, but here is one with longer period... you could def call and try to ask if they would accept weekend volunteers: http://www.sols247.org/

You could contact this group, they might be able to point you to the right direction: https://www.facebook.com/carefugees/timeline

Hi...In case you are interested, you can google Pandawas Academy.
They provide education support for refugees primarily from Afghanistan. It's in Ampang if not mistaken
