Thousands of foreigners thronged the city today, taking advantage of the Chinese New Year holidays. They were seen shopping, eating and chit-chatting with their fellow countrymen at Leboh Pudu and Central Market in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Bangladeshi national Masum Akmal, 30, said that the holidays are a great time to gather in the city. "This is the only time where we can meet our relatives and friends from all over the city and Selangor. "It is good to catch up with them because we rarely get the chance," he said. Masum said that he likes coming to Leboh Pudu because of the variety of shops. "We can find all kinds of products here. From electrical and electronic appliances to good deals on mobile phones," he said. A Bangladeshi national who only wanted to be known as Lita said Leboh Pudu has always been a meeting place for him and his friends. "We work quite hard and this is the only time we get the chance to meet our friends and do a bit of shopping. I have visited other parts of the city but I always prefer to come here," he said. Filipina Grace Marie, 29, said she likes to hang out at Central Market because of the shopping, eateries and the outdoor stage. "The food here is really good and there are a lot of shops. We also enjoy coming here to check out the occasional performances," she said. – February 8, 2016. - See more at: http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/citynew...h.5JzTwTl3.dpuf |

Every CNY and Hari, we have this kind of news. Klang town is also like that during holidays but lately I noticed the number of foreigners gathered at their favorite spots have dropped drastically maybe because they are spending less because of higher cost of living and sharp decline in RM.
