Hi all,

Anyone using wireless speaker kit for your surround speakers? Looking to change to 5.1 system but not able to run wires to the surround speakers.

No to mission VX3, it's just a 2-way single 130mm bass driver with passive radiator.
Meanwhile Stylelaser got sell Wharfedale Crystal 4.3, a proper 3 way speaker, but audition yourself before decide ya, someone here bought that, can't remember who...

Do you have active surround speakers? If yes, you will need to have cables & power point for them at the place you are going to place them (in addition to the wireless kit).
If they are passive speakers, how are you going to send power via wireless?

We have all (most) been through the process of thinking that we can't run wires for surround speakers but now most of us do. The bottom line is once you know how good your system can sound, you will find a way biggrin.gif

It is passive speakers....I was searching around and found Dynasty Proaudio WSA-5RP (with built-in in amp). Unfortunately, don't think it is officially sold in MY.

You have some nice cables there, especially the Vermouth thumbup.gif
I have been using Oxygen cables for a while now and only realized how good they are after trying some other mainstream cables (Transparent and QED) which are more expensive but are considered entry level for those brands.
Will probably keep them running-in for awhile and see how it goes. But right now I am liking my cheap Oxygen cables a lot more and I understand why it was recommended in this forum a few years back.

You can always buy from overseas if you want. But my advice will be to stick to wired surrounds. Wireless speakers commonly have latency issues and the fact that the device needs to convert digital source from the transmitter using its internal DAC which will be different from your receiver and use a different amplifier (from your main receiver). Its unnecessarily complicated and expensive and might still give you results which are not as good as simple wired surrounds.

Running wires is easier compared to going through all the loops above. When there's a will there's a way biggrin.gif

Yeah Vermouth is a good cable. Totally agree that Oxygen cable is value for money. Very good cable compare to many entry level.

What is a bang for buck system at the moment?

Right now I am using Bose Lifestyle which doesn't have 4K input and sound wise it is alright, I just upgraded my TV, I was pondering upgrading the sound system as well. Heard good things about Denon receivers, which ones should I be looking at?

Denon X3700h and a set of 5 speakers you like and a subwoofer 1 or 2 units add some pair of speakers if you want atmos and dts:x effect. That should be alright. Anything else let other sifu answer.

Don't you have a PS5?

I think you should wait a little bit. All 2020 Denon and Marantz receivers has issues with HDMI 2.1 passthrough, 120fps will not work. They have announced a free adapter kit for passthrough, but doesn't seem like it's applied to SEA region at the moment.

If you don't care for 120hz and will only ever play on 60hz, then the Denon x3700h is the best receiver to get unless you absolutely want more than 11.2 channels of processing.

I use my PS5 with Samsung G7, TV just with Apple TV, so 120fps isn’t a priority for me.
