Just that first day on the Friday usually it's less crowded.

Need some advice.. I'm currently using a z906 as my HT speakers. But I am having some issue with Dolby Digital decoding with it. I don't really want to spend so much money upfront to get new stuff. So I'm thinking to just get an AV receiver first to replace the decoder (z906 sub will still run via its own decoder) I will split the signal from the source, one to av another to z906 for the sub. Then plug the z906 speakers to the new receiver.

My requirement is only for 5.1 and nothing fancy. As future proof as possible is always better. I gone through a few pages of this thread and see Yamaha RX-V379 mention by some a few month back. Is this still a recommended one or any newer one has come up?

What is the price now? I saw in Lazada selling about 1.5k but out of stock.

Thank you for your info. The outcome from Google search, recommended speaker for movie purpose is to get a good center speaker. Do you all really agree with this? What kind of sensitivity of speaker i must look at?

It's RM2.5k for 3 speakers and 1 sub.

heard ELAC is coming with a new set of speakers line called UNI-FI...mmmmm

I have not tried ELAC with any subwoofer yet...but I intend to. I would like to narrow down my choice to either SVS or ELAC Subwoofer.

do you guys have any input on this two subwoofer. I look in youtube that the ELAC S10EQ has that electronic calibration that looks so easy to set up with all your speakers. would that be an absolute advantage compare to other subwoofer??

Lazada's current price of Yamaha AV receiver models. 

Guys I need your inputs.

Recently my friend gave me his speakers... he said he found it on storage area and took it home.

Now to cut the story short.. the speakers are from a Pioneer Home theatre 5.1 package. Only the 2 tall speakers are with me and I tried to rewire it to a 3.5mm plugged into my headset at my  phone. It is working however the output sound volume is low even maxed out from the source.

Can I use this with other home theatre?
Any other suggestions on how can I make use of it?
