Be careful of Tokyo though. One of the most expensive cities to live in, the cost of living is through the roof. Last I checked, it's about just as expensive as cities such as New York.

Lower tuition fees is one thing, but the cost of living, accomodation and other miscellanous expenses in certain megacities in Japan is another.

Yes, that's true, if you choose to study in Tokyo or any other mega city. One of the most expensive cities in the world, top three, or was it top five?

But as another user suggested, you could also choose to study in a somewhat rural or suburban area. I'm pretty sure the cost of living there is way cheaper.
