Yes 7 k salary is normal for pharmacist in private be it in retail, hospital etc.I know industrial pharmacist in some GLC earning 15 k.
but nowadays I don't think 7k is that high taking into account our living cost.I would just say it's average.right?
Btw who say less than 4 k?when I said?haha

How's life in industry? I'm kinda interested in industry but I didn't take any industry training during university. I focused more on clinical back then.

But when i come, they always not there

They pay rm 25/hr or 30 during public holiday. I don't feel it's worth it to sacrifice my holiday for that pay. If pay more, I go to work :-P

Retail line is good for the beginning and middle. After that it will quickly reach a ceiling for the salary.I used to be on par with my friend who is  in retail pharmacy. After a while I leapfrogged  him when I climbed the corporate ladder to managerial position. yes every job has its pros and cons.
*
So, how much ur pay now? I used to know a senior pharmacist from a glc company earning rm16k/month. But he's old like 40 yo like that.

I plan to get a shop n open a small pharmacy after 40 yo n life is financially stable. for now, still not sure what or how to do to get there. I'm stuck with government currently.

nope

my wife's bro gf just come out study this

i think still cannot get govn posting.... heard full

yup. gov posting kinda limited.

plus, first year government need to work at hospitals for training. the training at hospitals, it's kinda though with on call n everything.

i saw a friend doing retail training but her job is comparatively easier than those training at hospitals.

instead work in pharmacy n hospital, what other place can work?
*
many places
1. drug companies
2. drug production facilities
3. enforcement (gov)
4. universities
5. drug registration bureau (gov)

a pharmacist can be researcher, sales rep, manager, store keeper etc. not necessarily dispense meds.

yes

someone said.

but i think increment very slow since many overflow
so many private uni graduates coming out...

just like that grad in 4 yrs come out

dont know real or all involve $$$$$

so keep fail form 5 yet after see them few years later is Dr or lawyer
*
increment for me around rm250-ish per year. now 2016 my salary around 5.7k. thus july will get double increment rclxms.gif so, around 6k end of this year.

but working in government although salary is low, it comes with many perks - loans, pencen, free/subsidised healthcare etc (i like free dental treament the most)

but, if u want to be rich, i think business is the only way. irregardless of the fields of study.
