Guys, currently a foundation student, will enter degree soon. The issue is should I venturing into a small business to make side income? If yes, suggestion? My bro just told me that we should earn money as soon as possible because working experience is important to land a job after I got my degree. I interested in making my own streetwear brand. What can I do at this point?

I suggest you to start small first. making your own streetwear brand is not a small thing. everything, from design, marketing, delivery etc, that one you need a team to do it All the best!~

Running small business does not count as working experience. Also dividing up your time will leads to reduce attention to study. If got below 3.65 you think Pipu gonna hired you or gib you handsome salary? Also with so many jobless around you might be short of customers but had to compete with too many jobless turn small businesses operator competitor.
My take. Count yourself lucky. At foundation when TPPA is sign. Study hard and take on soft skills to impress our new murican overlords who would bring jobs in 3-4 years time

What can I do at this point? It's pretty easy to get a job without any experience after you get your degree actually... What's more important is your character and language skills. But extra work experience won't hurt. This post has been edited by BobSponge: Feb 7 2016, 02:25 AM

If you can cope with the workload, why not. Disregard those morons that claim "running business not work experience;tppa blah blah" and so forth, some people just lagak pandai. Running a business is the best work experience. Your business would have very little chance of taking off to be honest, but the skills you learn will be very helpful in your future career. Just make sure you're not neglecting the main purpose is all. Don't lose focus.
