anyone install underseat subwoofer?
any shop can test it out?

I have one in my waja and it does give me the right bass that i need. Consider it as a bass extension. What your components cant play, it plays. It does give a punch/kick like a sealed sub also, but still depends on where you locate it and how big is your cabin. As for me, im running a 10" mohawk underseat sub (yea i know, sounds like cap ayam, but i did audition a few which was under my budget, this sounded the best and gives me the umphh that i need) mounted below the dashboard of the passenger side.

Currently i dont have pictures with me now but i can upload later. My budget was RM500 for an underseat. I tested some MBQ, VSL, SONY, these 3 didnt meet my requirements untill i met that mohawk 10" underseat sub.

1st up there are a few sizes for underseat subs. it ranges from 6.75 inch, 8 inch and 10 inch.

for some cars, 8 or 10 inch sub will be too big till it will bulge out to the rear passenger leg room. so it will be good to check the size of the place you are planning to put it in and select the right size.

2ndly, how low you want your sub to boom... of course when it comes to low bass, the bigger the diameter of the sub, the better the low bass sound will be... there are different satisfaction level for each users when it comes to this... as some people can only hear to certain level of Hz and after that, none. some shops do let you try the sub but most shop does not allow it.

3. There is also another misconception between new/beginner audioholics, some users are looking for the "Bab. Bab." bass and some the "Dub. Dub." sound & some others look for the "boommmmmm. bOoooooOommm. (car shaker)" sound. here's the ticker! there is a big, I mean BIG difference between Upper Bass, Mid Bass and Low Bass... Find out which one you like, remember this is the KEY! to choose the right Bass for you!

nowadays underseat sub are getting hotter, some are able to hit like a 10 inch box at the trunk...

by getting the sub, i think you better think of what kind of system you are gonna be using first.

If your system are only hu, front spk and the underseat sub, then you need to go for better sub.

if your system are more complex, more ability to tune like you have processor or a headunit with good tuning options, then u can get cheaper sub.

i will be installing on City at the moment, with front speakers and standard head unit.
dont plan to spend so much on this car for now.

since i dont even utilize the glove compartment. Its just below it screwed firing in-dash. Couple it with time alignment. It goes smack dead in the middle. I can even imagine the drum kick is right in the middle at the aircond/player area.

Forget about it , waste of $

for city, it will be slightly came out from the rear of the seat..since under city front seat not much space..
