Can i trace back very important sms from my telco?, U mobile.. i need to get back the number

H All, just want to know if i can trace back a sms that some one sent me yesterday from my telco? i do a factory reset and lost the number as it deleted everything.

i just want to get the the number of the sender.. really cant? how about the same contact that call me yesterday.. they dont have record??

I think the telco keep the sms for certain period for govt use but not for customer retrieval U mobile   |

They can.Last time lost my phone i go crnter ask for same number back. They will ask what is the last 10 contacts/number u contact before(inclusing sms) so they definitely have records. |

Can.every telco keep record for certain period of time.but due to confidential info act.,you require police report/ court order to retrieve it..
