Those of you who ever faced cable cut (such as fibre cable cut or copper cable cut if you are staying in condo), causing your UniFi to be completely cut off, is it very normal for TM to take between 1 to 2 weeks for service restoration??

QUOTE(jusbella @ Mar 13 2016, 04:52 PM) QUOTE(tritonite @ Mar 13 2016, 04:57 PM) It depends on whose fault is it. If your condo maintenance people carelessly cut the cable in riser room, then it could take a loooong time to fix if the condo management deny it and insist they don't want to pay for repairs by TM. in my case is confirmed TM's responsibility. Only thing is TM is taking their sweet time (i.e. waiting for contractor to begin the job). But in any case, even those of you using FTTH ones, is it normal that it takes 1 to 2 weeks?? It has been 9 days & no work has begun except that TM has identified the fault one week ago. In fact, the culprit of the breakdown is TM's own contractor who were assigned by TM to replace the copper cables linking the MDF room to other blocks, and after completing the job, some residents suffer outage as the cable was cut! QUOTE(tritonite @ Mar 13 2016, 05:17 PM) Well, I hope you have it in black-and-white somewhere that it is definitely TM's fault, and not just a verbal statement by condo management. They could just be deflecting the issue. Just a thought because at least over here in Damansara, whenever it is a TM issue, it is usually fixed in 3-5 days, and even then, people start to complain after day 2. It's confirmed by both TM & condo management. Apparently, the copper cables from the MDF room in one of the five blocks to the remaining four blocks are under TM. This is where the problem is.1-2 weeks sounds really suspicious. Or maybe it is TM and their contractor who are having a disagreement about where the fault and responsibility is. However, unsure about the cables in the riser. Guess I better check this out in case in future something happens. |

UniFi finally fixed after 2 weeks!! Reason for disruption: The stupid contractor who did copper cable replacement punched the wrong pair of wires to the wrong slots on the Krone block!!! And because there is a pending cable fault issue, they could not come and check and resolve this issue, causing me to suffer 2 freaking weeks without UniFi!!!

QUOTE(fruitie @ Mar 18 2016, 11:35 AM) For sure! I will wait a few days for TM to call me to confirm restoration and close the report! Then only ask for rebate. The more days they delay calling me, the more days of rebate I will get. Last time in November, down for 5 days, they called me only 4 days after restoration, so I got 9 days rebate. |

QUOTE(vez @ Mar 21 2016, 09:59 PM) because the price for Unifi Advance 30 + Ruby is RM209 after 2 years since they offer me with Ruby @RM179, but worried after two years i have to pay RM209 lol While those of you who are now getting this RM30 discount, is only valid for 2 years, after that pay the full amount. |

QUOTE(ericlawyh @ Mar 23 2016, 09:19 PM) Guys, The problem with your complaint here is, Time is NOT using TM's infrastructure, rather they have their own!Instead of ranting on the cheap Time Fibre subscription fee, why don't we joint force and lodge complaint to MCMC against UniFi? Step 1: Browse to Aduan SKMM Site - https://aduan.skmm.gov.my Step 2: Fill the complaint details, including your UniFi account. [attachmentid=6226372] For your ease of complaint, feel free to copy paste below Problem Description & Remedy: Step 3: Submit Lets complain altogether and give some heat to MCMC and UniFI. |

QUOTE(dreamthief @ Mar 25 2016, 05:40 PM) Nothing to regret if your area is only having Unifi/Maxis fibre home. Those living in condo/apartment and have Time coverage, that you better I actually live in a condo with TIME coverage. But I am not jumping to it anytime soon. Besides I am still on the 2-year contract for upgrading to 30Mbps.Tested the 500mb line my friends has. Ridiculous and best part it is symmetrical download/upload speed. 30mb still got some choking. 500 nothing at all. I can't imagine Google fibre in US 1GB offering. Getting TIME is not as easy as signing up and then terminating UniFi. I have a lot of things I need to replace, for example, the 100Mbps FastEthernet switches, the 200Mbps HomePlug units just to name a few. And I do actually watch the HyppTV channels (Ruby Pack)... Switching to TIME means I will need to subscribe to the super expensive Astro packages instead! |

QUOTE(Mr Leo @ Mar 27 2016, 10:28 PM) QUOTE(fruitie @ Mar 27 2016, 10:30 PM) If previously, they will choose not to give a damn but well at least they are fighting back now, real hard. TM will tell you the price is inclusive of HyppTV pack (min RM30).Unless of course in their new package, they offer package without HyppTV pack and subscribers can subscribe to HyppTV as an add-on, which means it is only RM149 instead of RM179. But let's see what is in store for us. |

QUOTE(riesjx @ Mar 28 2016, 04:01 PM) At the very least, I am hoping:1) 30Mbps either auto-upgrade to 50Mbps for same price, or reduce by RM50. 2) 50Mbps either auto-upgrade to 80Mbps for same price, or reduce by RM50. 3) Existing customers can either auto-upgrade or reduce fee, subject to technical feasibility (especially VDSL users) |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Mar 28 2016, 08:44 AM) Well, if you see carefully, the MaxisONE Home is:*MaxisONE Home 20Mbps, 30Mbps is open to all MaxisONE Plan 128 and above customers only. MaxisONE Home 100Mbps exclusive to MaxisONE plan 158, 188, MaxisONE Business and MaxisONE Business Extra. So if you are not subscribed to their the MaxisONE mobile plans stated above, sorry, you are not welcomed to sign up for the new fibre packages. Sort of a tactic Maxis use to prevent their mobile customers from switching to other telco perhaps? Many Maxis mobile users, myself included, have switched to cheaper mobile packages, particularly from Celcom & DiGi. |

QUOTE(Icehart @ Mar 28 2016, 07:15 PM) Doesn't matter. Not like they're offering cheap internet packages either. To make things worse, UniFi is better. I'm actually hoping that Maxis will come out with cheaper packages for everyone, NOT just subscribers of their super expensive MaxisONE mobile packages! In that way, TM will eventually be forced to lower their pricing for UniFi in order to keep customers. Unfortunately, looks like Maxis is not giving TM any real competition at all. |

QUOTE(Icehart @ Mar 28 2016, 07:25 PM) True also. But there are some locations where Maxis owns the infrastructure and people who live there have no choice other than using Maxis for any fixed line services, be it high speed broadband or fixed line phone.Examples are Bandar Utama BU11 and BU12, some parts of Puchong, areas in & around KLCC, you can only get Maxis fixed services there. Pity those who live there, stuck with Maxis HSBB services that are just too expensive, regardless whether this new MaxisONE Home packages, or the old Maxis Fiber packages (those who are NOT the MaxisONE mobile plan subscribers will have to subscribe the old packages). They can't even get TM UniFi even if they want to! |

QUOTE(VeeJay @ Mar 28 2016, 07:31 PM) But they had good plan previous...prior to UnifiAdvance packages (30/50), compared to Maxis vs VIP plans, I think Maxis was very competitive especially with Astro bundle. At that time, Maxis actually offered many of us (myself included) to upgrade to the next higher package (e.g. VIP5 to VIP10) with a RM20 or RM30 discount to keep us for at least another 2 years. Many that I know, switched then I was then a Maxis mobile subscriber and I had got calls from them 3 times to subscribe to Maxis Fiber but I declined!! And TIME is also available in my condo for some years but I have no plans to switch. Waiting to see what TM gonna counter offer. No point switching when I actually need the HyppTV service and do NOT want to subscribe Astro, another blood sucker company! |

QUOTE(junclj @ Mar 31 2016, 09:24 AM) I was tried to modify bundle from my unifi portal, there have unifi special discount RM20 in the features and some of the useless add-ons. So I try to remove the useless hypTV Aneka Pack, then a red message mentions I should select at least 1 hypptv plan. So I just tick the cheapest HyppTV Everywhere Plan A RM5/month. Then the total amount is RM154. So I click "next" to proceed. Then a red message on that hypptv option mentions "Sorry, you are not allowed to perform this transaction. For further assistance on this transaction, please call 1300-88-1221". Godamit! TM force me to choose at least one hypptv pack. I can't save the RM30. Well, the UniFi Advance packages you definitely have to select a HyppTV pack of at least RM30 in value. No way not to subscribe. No way to even unbundle it after you subscribe. |
