QUOTE(jolmy @ Mar 3 2016, 10:34 PM) Nope, each telco may utilize either the same or different undersea cables. Make me wonder why to US server is slow as we know from previous news we use AAG back bone to US server and ASE/Cahaya only connected to sg, japan, filipina, kemboja dan hongkong... but it landed to japan and at that point, there are many underwater cable land at same site, so maybe ASE/cahaya give more bandwidth compare to AAG...TM does utilize quite a number of cables to various locations worldwide. Thing is when one cable breaks, you can still access but given the capacity is now lesser, the available links are more congested, hence the slowdown. You just image using our road system, if PLUS expressway is partially closed due to whatever reason, say from Tapah to Ipoh and everyone is forced to exit the expressway and use the old roads, you will get into bad congestion as the roads cannot cope with the capacity. So it's the same with network links. but still dunno, and lucky enough get 175 at early mac before disruption happen..previous get 210. IP, slow like hell and fb video only pusing2 macam gasing... |

QUOTE(G K Lai @ Mar 5 2016, 12:47 AM) Hi all, wow you mod by changing the LED or what?May I know what is the correct option for ipv6 on Unifi? ![]() Should I use Native, Tunnel 6to4, Tunnel 6in4, Tunnel 6rd or Static IPV6? What about the 3 other options at the bottom? Those are filled automatically by the router's firmware. Thanks in advanced! I find HG655m's bright white LED so distracted, so I mod it to various colors, will be use it for a while then only decide which color I like the most, and might change all to the same color. ![]() nice color for TM in orange colour...i think only 2 color are good where green and blue... |

QUOTE(Jefferson1983 @ Mar 6 2016, 05:50 PM) Tq for the reply. From this sources it say the BTU aka modem will b collected by TM ppl through appointment. http://www.tmnetmalaysia.com/2013/02/unifi...-terms.html?m=1 From what I read from the Official UNIFI Faq. The BTU is part of the CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) where the customer hv to bring by themselves to their new place. And it never mentioned about the collecting BTW by TM ppl. So confusing. QUOTE(voncrane @ Mar 6 2016, 06:02 PM) 1. That source isn't legit from TM and it's from 2013. So disregard.. yup.. what voncrane said is true... and myself also experience relocation of unifi. from shah alam to jb.. basically walk in to jb tmpoint, they said date, then hq call and ask to bring app the devices to jb...bring all to here and they advance my appointment 2 days early... at the end get new ONT... alcatel lucent ONT now collecting dust... other than that, be careful... if they replace they will charge to your bill if that broken...2. My previous post was from recent personal experience. So unless TM has suddenly changed protocol (highly doubtful). I see no reason why they have to collect the equipment back for a move. Now, if it was a service termination? Then yes, one has to return the equipment as its owned by TM. Technically, we are renting it. Yes.. Shocker.. Don't sweat it, just arrange with TM about the move, set an appointment date for the technician to drop by.. All will be taken care of. Usually, they'll come with an extra set of hardware, just in case any piece in the current set isn't playing nice.. In that case, if still within your warranty period, they'll replace on the spot for free. (sometimes feel regret to move the unifi as i am gov. officer..sure later pindah randah lagi... and to bad my house there still not updated on the address and tm also cannot reconnect back to my old house, sometimes feeling funny...) |

QUOTE(jolmy @ Mar 7 2016, 12:55 PM) UniFi down since Friday dun forget to ask rebate... if can get proof, sure bring to court to sue tm... due to negligence...just imagine if someone in the house get emergency and no one to help accept fix line telephone? Went home on Friday night only to see DSL light is completely OFF, meaning all services down! Called TM to report that night itself. Next day, called again to enquire, no news, say will escalate it. Then on Sunday morning, I called again and this time was told of a cable cut affecting multiple customers!!! This morning went to condo management office & was told that TM's contractors were doing cable upgrading last week, which they completed on Friday, and yes, it was Friday when my UniFi was down since This is NOT the first time. In November, same thing happened, TM's contractors did some infrastructure upgrade and accidentally cut cables that serve more than 50 customers. And it took them at least 5 days to restore service!!! How long more do I need to wait this time??? this people sometimes need to educate to uphold the services...lucky phone company make the mobile phone can call 112 even without sim or lock phone.. |

QUOTE(MyPIA @ Mar 14 2016, 10:03 PM) C-Zone has it and I'm using it myself and works without any hassle with unifi i think all the roter has this function to restart the router.... it like basic function....Best feature about it is you don't have to walk to the router to restart the router, you can just do it via the router page EDIT : even Harvey Norman has it |

i do demand higher speed but if only tm reduced the pricing for internet connection, that one i prefer so much...
example time 500mbps for 299 where only 60 sen per mbps where tm 50mbps for 229 where rm3.98 per mbps (i exclude the rm30 for aneka) if tm can revise the pricing like 1mbps for just rm2.00 for 50mbps, i would happy... and off course they should make dsl or dial up just free for all(dsl just need to buy device, and registered to them with one off payment and giving like 100 hours per month or something like that. more either charge per time block or buy time like topup...) |

guys.. just chill... everybody had their own opinion and good point...
for me actually i dont envy the speed but the pricing only.... like i said in previous post, if tm follow my idea, it will become great for them... example: Free dial-up and streamyx (speed 1mbps should be enough and 10gb free and over will throttle to 384kbps or charge for 0.5 sen per MB-around rm5.5 per gb) Dial up services and dsl need to register and pay one off payment like rm100-200 maybe and will be given 1 account each number, for dsl device will be given on rental basis for 24 months contract and will be given to customer after contract finish. for customer who want to opt with higher bandwidth, just pay the upgrade cost like 2mbps add rm30, 4mbps add rm50 and 8mbps add rm70, even here they also can do the limit like for 2mbps up to 30gb, 4mbps up to 60gb and 8mbps up to 120gb. If want unlimited data just pay for rm50 for all bandwidth like this sure many will install the telephone(TM will get telephone subscription payment inm RM26 and more if they choose dsl(and over the data limit) and opt to higher speed... and then unifi can be reduce the price maybe for 30mbps 129 and 50mbps rm169 and follow the TIME way maybe give customer some happy hour to boost up to 100mbps for example 100hr for 30/50... at the end, TM will not rugi due to all will pay for telephone subscription minimum approx. rm30 per month(excluding call) then menteri can bangga due to broadband penetration is more than 80% maybe... but this is just my opinion only... |
