I went to see the 3 variants during lunch today, LED headlamps look good but the halogen is not ugly either... for RM8000 really need to consider. Interior wise both TC and TC-P is the same! Dual zone aircond, rarely use that and navigation which if able to hdmi view waze even better. But not sure if when parking brake is down, hdmi mirror works?

Also I noticed when I put down the arm rest at the backseat, there is actually a hole at the seats... can feel the bar from inside cabin dry.gif. And only able to locate 6 speakers... front door 2 each, at the backboard 2.
*
Yes.For me dual zone and navigation not really important. LED is nice but 8k is quite expensive. Looks nice but from inside is similar with std turbo and drive the same too. If compare 1.8 vs std turbo for 14k then is totally different in driving experience (more power-1.8 vs 2.4power) and bettter handling (lower profile & bigger rims). Interior feel more premium with leather especially the center console. Dashboard looks more premium too.

Unless is a slow driver then 1.8 is good enough (More comfort tyre + lesser maintenance vs turbo)

Booked std turbo lunar silver 2 days before launching. No discounts only some free gifts. Hopefully can get it next month smile.gif

Tested the turbo ytd. Tried 130kmh, rough road , nvh and handling. Car is comfortable and handling is good n solid, steering feel is good.not too heavy/light. Sound proof good about same with altis but still not up to D segment level (accord,Camry, teams). Power can be felt after 2000rpm. Definitely better than Mazda 3. Engine sound a bit loud after 4k rpm. For about 115-135k, the specs, material and quality is good. Way better than sylphy, altis, cerato, elantra etc.on par with Mazda 3.seats are comfortable, view is good n feel spacious.

Booked civic turbo after compare with Mazda 3 (2final choice) smile.gif

Summary.
Mazda 3- handling more solid. More fun to drive than civic.( slightly better) skyactive ma....
Civic - everthing else (more comfort, quieter, spacious, looks more modern interior/exterior design, bigger boot, more power, after sales, part availability, RV)

Yes, 1.8L fabric was not nice and looked cheap. Even the rear seat cushion felt very soft. Bit dissapointed here.
*
Agree! The fabric on seats , door panel and especially the center console looks cheap and spoil the interior premium look. Yes 14k is quite a lot vs turbo. But will have totally different driving experience for me for next 7-8 yrs. Trust me..a turbo or hybrid car with max torque from 1-2k is really fun to drive especially on city drive. One of the reason Germans cars are fun to drive also bcos of the powerful turbo engine. Lol just my opinion.

I think if compare to previous Civic, this is shorter, but the rear seat lower and lean to the back, so indirectly generate more leg rooms. International version the backseat is adjustable, but Malaysia version is not, too bad.
*
Ya first time heard rear legroom is short... I'm 174cm with my driving position, my wife at the back said is spacious with plenty of leg room. Yes. i think civic rear legroom is slightly lesser than city, Altis & Almera but still very roomy.

Anyone notice the rear seats not very wide and the left & right near doors are actually plastic. Weired..cut cost?

So Civic legroom is actually shorter than City & Almera? Never knew about this, can anybody confirm with specifications compare? I do not own any of the car, but would be a bummer to know that B-segments cars have larger cabin space compare to a C-Segments.
*
Yes City and Almera rear legroom is crazy ... not to say C segment, can beat some of the D segment car too.

I know cause my mum drive latest City and my cousin drive Almera. Lol ..

Specifications yes. you can go to Honda USA which show interior dimensions. No Honda city but they have jazz which is about the same.

Jazz Rear Leg room - 39.3"
Civic rear leg room - 37.4"
Old Civic - 36.2"
Accord - 38.5"
HRV - 39.3"

And the RM1500 3M or EcoTint recommended by HM are not security tint?
*
Looking at Honda 3M and Ecotint specs, is not worth 1500. Is lower range from 3M. With 1500-1600, you can actually get Raytech MX 5mil TESR 57% & IR 85% which is much better.

My car always park under hot sun. So i plan for Raytech best tint 6 mil with IR 98% for front/back/side. Can get about 2.5-2.6k after discount. Really good after tested my boss car. Since will drive for 7 years min, Ill go for best tint and not to regret later for cheaper tint just to save some money.

Decided to go for Raytech after comparing other top brands like Llumar/3M/Vkool/huper optik. I believe all these are equally good. Just my opinion, go for good tint for better comfort/cooling, better interior protection & better safety for the next few years. thumbup.gif

Agree, but the real issue is the warranty for power window in case you tint your window outside. not just power window but the whole door components will be compromised as well.  I spoke to Honda service centre manager, the first thing they will check is your tint. If not Honda product then be prepared to fork out your own money for repair.
*
Wow that strict? that is very bad. Is only Honda or other manufacturers as well? Most ppl do their tint outside. I think they started to carry 3M and Ecotint from Jul 15. Meaning all Honda sold before Jul 15 with tinted will not have door & related components warranty? bangwall.gif

So really have to take risk to tint outside since their tint are quite low spec but with high price. lol.

I think soon they will say allignment/balancing/change tyre outside will void warranty for tyres/rims/ and suspension related part blink.gif

How long the process till approved?
*
Mine quite fast. 3pm email docs to Honda. 5pm received call from MBB officer. 7pm received SMS from MBB inform loan approved. Total 4 hours.

May be they are desperate to close sale. Very competitive since car sales drop alot. blink.gif

low meh?
that day test drive sit 4 person go through bumper still ok la

I think is quite low. I search online for civic 2016 ground clearance is 12.5cm. and I look at Honda Malaysia, Honda Cr-z ground clearance 15cm. Means is even lower than Cr-z.. blink.gif not sure is correct or not.

hmm...looks like nobody is worried about the long-term maintenance/repairs on the Turbo...
*
Nothing to worry la if you want to enjoy the power of turbo. every manufacturer is downsizing their engine and use turbo especially the German & French car. If worry so much, then will never have a chance to drive a luxury German car or any turbo car. just stuck with N/A. For me life is short, enjoy while you can smile.gif I'm not a racer but i like and enjoy driving a more powerful car. icon_idea.gif

when u faced car problem and always go to SC, u won't say like this.. biggrin.gif

Lol really so negative thinking. Is Honda not VW or any unknown China new brand. I believe they have done a lot of extreme test and is sold globally. Overheat in Thai.. i search and search google & forum only the same picture appear. No car is problem free la. Turbo is not new to this world and is not new to Honda too. I still believe in Honda biggrin.gif

Correct Dares - now Honda city showroom is full of all Honda Civic ownere complaining on all the problem you mentioned!!
HM is suffering on the civic issue and a worldwide recall is being planned..
this is the biggest recall and cancellation in the automotive industry and will cause Honda to suffer their biggest loss for a few years...their best selling civic model is losing a lot of faithful customer due to all the problem Dares described and each civic owner is cursing and regret..
when u go on the highway u can see all the civic car broke down and all
there is an online petition now to USA whitehouse to ask Honda to provide full refund to all new civic owners
current civic ownere plann to demonstrate in HM head office this weekend cause their new car is totally unusable from day 1..

honda malaysia is not available for comment now..
honda CEO in japan is going to resign due to all the problem Dares described..
Honda may go bankrupt
