QUOTE(dares @ Feb 3 2016, 08:36 PM) RM150k can get a mid spec Accord dy with cruise control, reverse camera, DVD player, power seats etc. etc.....It is hardly kosong. The base spec Accord is only 141k. Furthermore, somebody has already mentioned the Jetta and the upcoming Focus 1.5T. but 150k still not 2.4L right? i never drive a d seg car before but feedbacks are 2.0 hardly very fun to drive, like uncle car becos underpowered for d seg.

QUOTE(dares @ Feb 3 2016, 08:59 PM) My bro-in-law has a 2.0 (the base spec one, though). The performance is reasonable, goes up and down genting without much struggle. It's not exactly what I would call fun to drive, but it is not bad. But still....RM150k for a C-segment (and summore possibly CKD) is asking a lot, turbo or not. As for the fun-to-drive part, if it comes with CVT then...... i have a jazz at home, i think it is OK for me, it does feels abit conventional when normal drive abiet when u pedal to metal the car just praaaaang all the way. How much honda sell their type-r 2.0 for malaysia market? For me i dont like tat they put all the tech at the better engine configuration. Not the euro hatchback one which is grey import.

QUOTE(aaron1717 @ May 18 2016, 04:01 PM) erm... I can buy any of the C-segment cars and I still worry about space issue as well and i was hoping i can at least balik kampong with my parents in better space... and to most of the malaysians who actually buy a C-segment.... space is an issue... thats why you see mazda 2 and mazda 3 not one of the top seller cars in Malaysia... even with their superior spec and pricing.... i do like mazda 2 or 3 for their own segment.... but too bad... i buy a car with not only me in my mind.... Ah i see, probably im from sarawak so we dont really travel long distance using a car. Unless u are talking about balik kampung/longhouse that u probably need a 4x4. So to us, most of the time we are just pusing around the city going for road trip is rare becos city to city it takes 2hrs to reach and the road cond isnt that good that u can drive 120km/h without making the passenger uncomfortable. QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ May 26 2016, 11:46 AM) This Civic is getting EEV status? Why? BMW also can get EEV, price reduction at least 10k. Why not Civic if the fuel consumption and emission is in the criteria.

QUOTE(wkc5657 @ May 26 2016, 03:28 PM) Install oil catch can = void warranty I once talked with the sales engineer that markets engine carbon cleaning machines, they say actually have to do every 20k km or at least during each major service. But since the issue of carbon buildup is now a well known issue for direct injected engines, I believe the engineers have taken it into account during engine design to either reduce the buildup or that even if there's build up, it won't be cause the performance to drop significantly. Well, still a presumption. Always a good idea to avoid short engine runs or long traffic jam/start stop traffic condition. No car in this kind of price range will apply both direct and indirect injection la...an added cost by maybe at least RM2k or more I believe euro4m fuel shud be better for GDi engine.
