lower rpm with higher hp and higher torque(presume), considerable improvement compared to toyota altis no?
*
yes but not too much i think. even the focus mk3 NA & facelift turbo doesn't show that much difference for 0-100 time.

Its due to CVT characteristic. It doesn't FEEL fast... but it's already fast once u look in ur speedometer.  Coz it's even outdrag the USDM Civic Si with a 2.4L NA!
*
yup. it's fast but you can't appreciate the speed. it's good enough for daily drive though. but the fun factor is surely reduced.

If anything, the new Civic looks way more rice than the FB.

I think it is abundantly clear who Honda is aiming at with this design language, and it's not the mature buyers.

i just realised they used the same tail light šŸ˜‚

My opinion differs on this though, i do think the interior of this new Civic will definitely be at least on par with the Mazda3 (if not better). Judging by their humiliation of the previous model, they are going to be very aggressive this time to win back the market. They knew what the market is offering, they surely studied their competitors (heck they even try to compare against premium compact brands). For the very least, it won't beĀ  puke.gif

I myself will definitely check out the new Civic after the launchingĀ  smile.gif

"If we are to compare the new Civic’s cabin with its rivals, its biggest strength is space – both for occupants and objects. The boot was huge as well. However, if we are to talk about refinement and build quality, the Civic is still inferior to the Mazda3 and the Ford Focus." - http://m.carlist.my/news/review-2016-honda...ce-puzzle/38778

dunno how different our CKD with thailand made will be though. but no matter what it will still sells like hot cakes here. it's a Honda Civic for God's sake!

Is it recommended the turbo trim to pump RON95?
*
no problem. if it's for malaysian market for sure they tuned the engine to match our fuel quality. if not it won't be here. (like what happened with peugeot 308 GTi)

The city rear seats are tiny ones, zero thigh support, and angled almost 90 degrees.
If you measure leg room from the gap between the rear seats to the front ones, then the ones making the tiniest seats wins LOL.

Can't believe people actually didn't see that. The City gets bigger shoulder room (it appears) by making the doors plastic really tiny as well.

Honda so clever, give you less and make you think it's more. doh.gif
*
even the civic's rear seat has very little thigh support. this is why they have spacious legroom.

I wish I could, but budget constraints sad.gif
Come to think of it, yeah. But their turbo unit is different from ours; theirs haven't got the VTEC technology. We have.
Yeah... I'm gonna go and have a look this weekend, perhaps a test drive as well. Users here mentioned that the 1.8 can have a leather upgrade to have the dash, door trims and the armrest to be fitted with leather. If it's true then maybe I'll just get the 1.8 upgraded with leather biggrin.gif
*
same tech. they just omitted the vtec name for us market.

Any idea why the US market Civic X 1.5T isn't promoted with the VTEC wordings ?
The 2.0NA Civic X is marketed with DOHC i-VTEC.
*
because it's not even a vtec. new tech. they use the vtec turbo emblem here for market strategy.

VTEC is Honda's terminology for variable valve timing, so its there.

some reading won't hurt. i'm just bringing this up because someone asked about it. this explains why there's no more "VTEC kick in yo!" when they changed to VTC. anyhow it's not an enthusiast's car so it's not important anyway for everyday users. happy reading. cheers.

Being low will get scratch from the bottom of the car. Side wall being hit is due to manoeuvre in a tight corner in parking bay due to long wheelbase.
*
it's not a limo. there are tons of cars that have longer wheelbase yet i don't see a single one hitting the sidewall. doesn't that just means you're a bad driver? doh.gif
