This 1.8i engine is already about 15 years old. Correct me if I am wrong.

R18 is introduced only during civic FD (8th gen) in 2006. So that's 10 years. Prior to that local civic ES(7th gen) is only using D17 or K20.

Even if the R18 is a decade old, I'm sure Honda has done some fine tuning and tweaked the internals for better efficiency and performance.

How much can Honda squeeze out from it ? Seriously.

No way Jetta can do 750 to 850 km on a single tank. Have tested before. Max 500-600 per tank. Normal highway driving. No hard revving.

Hi, Everyone. Noobs here.

May I know will the turbo engine need extra maintenance and more expensive/difficult to repair if compare to normal engine?

Our hot and humid weather are the two killing factors for turbo engines. You can check with those continental cars owners and may be some Japanese models as well.
