Those kind of price is interesting but that only means most of the parts are local sourced... and I hope they don't cut on the quality control here!

QUOTE(ZeroSP @ May 26 2016, 11:17 AM) Assembly begins 1 month ahead which is during the current May, you need to factor in test drive units too. Any more insider info such as pricing? or rather they have not announced the pricing due to the EEV status? But then to me, better to wait after the Raya rush. Let those who wanted it so fast get them first, and also maybe possibly report any not so good findings. |

QUOTE(ZeroSP @ May 26 2016, 12:05 PM) 131k for top spec is competitively priced here in Malaysia, final nail to Altis haha! Honda has been slacking with the 9th gen anyways.QUOTE(shinchan^^ @ May 26 2016, 12:11 PM) I remember the newer City all have two reverse sensors versus 4 of the old batch haha. Cut cost lagi, but is EEV status... wonder where the money went to. |

Just wondering, is this carbon build up only affecting turbo direct injection engines? Those conventional non turbo won't have this issue?

SA still can give tinting vouchers even when Honda has their official panel already? Wonder if those branch panel also can cover damages due to the tinting workmanship?

The Dark Ruby Red should be 1.5 Turbo I guess, no chrome door handle. What else is missing?

QUOTE(usopkun @ Jun 8 2016, 12:55 AM) Just went to see The Civic. I got the chance to explore the car. So here is my findings: Between Turbo and Turbo Premium, the exterior features so far noticed is chrome door handle, LED headlamps and foglights... what else?1) Interior quality, fit and finish is on par with Mazda cars. Feels expensive and upscale. Premium and Midspec has the same finishes ( leather seats and brush metal garnish). The only differences are exterior features, Navi, and dual zone ac. All variants got leather wrap steering wheel and leather wrap shift knob, but 1.8 comes with fabric seat and different texture metal garnish on dashboard. The rest is totally the same. 2) The seat is comfortable, very low and sporty seating position. From the back, you can feel the interior is very spacious, its almost an Accord in term of size. Compare to US, centre console is not as deep because need to allow for aircond shaft to pass through for rear ac. 3) The bootspace is quite spacious, wide and deep. Unfortunately all 3 variants can't fold the seat. We don't have 60/40 split feature! From the boot, it seams that there is a stabilizer strut that ties the chassis. According to SA to make the car more rigid for better handling/cornering. 4) Rain sensing wipers and auto dimming mirror come standard for Premium and midspec. I can say, if you don't mind the led headlights and Turbo engine, one will be satisfied with 1.8 NA. Really not much different. Oh yeah also the back seats is there an arm rest? and if there is access to the boot from there too? This post has been edited by celciuz: Jun 8 2016, 08:00 AM |

QUOTE(Alternation @ Jun 9 2016, 05:03 PM) I just went to the showroom and discovered that the civic only has 6 speakers, not 8 like claimed on the brochure. A pair of tweeters on the wing mirror. A pair on the front door and another pair on the back of the headrest for rear passenger. Nothing on the back doors. What about the back board? Not sure what is it called... there any speakers?Or maybe dashboard got 2 more front speakers LOL. |

QUOTE(ddr3 @ Jun 9 2016, 08:24 PM) may i know why the maintenance for 1.5turbo is cheaper compared to the 1.8? I was looking at it, then I noticed the table has problem... the summary below doesn't add up parts, some only considering the labor instead of everything.[attachmentid=6808276] [attachmentid=6808278] |

QUOTE(ddr3 @ Jun 9 2016, 08:31 PM) I was comparing and seems the major differences between the 1.8 and 1.5T is engine oil + drain washer plug RM138 vs RM109, the rest is similar? What additional items should a turbo engine maintain compared to normal engine? |

QUOTE(vexus @ Jun 9 2016, 10:47 PM) service a turbo car is cheaper than a 1.8L car lol. SOmething wrong. The price of the engine oil i think most likely is either mineral or semi synthetic No, the turbo is pricier by about RM30. Just the sum at the bottom is incorrect >_< second page you see it is back to normal. |
