If the demand is high and supply is low, Uber should upfront increase the rate from RM13 to perhaps RM15-18...very unethical to suddenly charge more when the rider reached the destination.

Sometimes it is due the up front fare based on the shortest route assuming no jam. But the actual trip based on the waze which suggested longer route but reach destination at the shortest times during heavy jam.

So the up front fare was overwrite due to different longer route and longer trip period was used.

Your scenario may be differed from above.

I sometimes pity myself as a uber driver also.
