QUOTE(WaCKy-Angel @ Mar 4 2016, 10:44 AM) I am curious why it is listed as OEM product if it is genuine stock. If it is a genuine stock, then that would be good for us to get it cheaper with Lazada code. QUOTE(alucard89 @ Mar 4 2016, 10:48 AM) It's their new product, most people probably aren't aware of it like I did until last week Yup I'm aware of it and looking forward to get one too. Even the dashcam app itself is developed by xiaomi on app store. |

QUOTE(RevanChrist @ Mar 4 2016, 01:10 PM) Example: Apple design a product A, but it doesn't has a factory to produce it. So Apple will subcontract to other factories to manufacture it, then it will market these products under its own brand name to the customers. These factories are called OEM. Sometimes these OEM factories can secure a contract with Apple to manufacture the same item and market them under the factories' own brand, these are called OEM products. Only difference with original product is probably lower quality control and lower quality raw materials used. Yes I saw this explanation some time ago from Internet, thanks for sharing this again. BUT, nowadays, the term OEM has "expanded". When people produce an imitate to an original product, they called it OEM instead of fake. Lots of so called OEM nowadays are simply copycat who imitate the design of other successful products. Some are good because it was the OEM factories themselves that curi curi manufacture those items without securing a contract (paying royalty) with let's say Apple. Some are simply bad because they only imitate the outer look, the actual inner stuffs are totally not the same thing. For this item, my concern is this an "expended" version of OEM product. Anyway... look for reputable seller who sell genuine XiaoMi Car DVR is way more better. |

QUOTE(WaCKy-Angel @ Mar 4 2016, 01:32 PM) ATCETERA is reputable though. Chill bro... I do not know ATCETERA as I never buy anything from them before. No, i mean it should be original but no idea why the pic says its oem. infact all the 5 posts in lazada also showing the exact same pic..but different seller hmm.. My concern is why the picture stated that this is OEM product. If seller can clarify clearly in their post and remove that OEM word from pic, that would be better. Anyway, Lazada comes with 100% Buyer Protection, we can return it and get back our money, right? Yes I saw all 5 posts in lazada using same pic, not sure why. |

Saw this from FB at here.
Xiaomi phone sold & fulfilled by Lazada is imported set and not within Mi Malaysia warranty. Check from the product description of this phone, it stated that comes with 1 year Xiaomi Malaysia warranty. Mi Malaysia Service Center mentioned that buyer is not getting this phone from Mi Malaysia website, this mean buyer have to refer back to seller if there is any problem with the phone. Anybody experience similar situation like this? |
