I'm an anomaly: I'm old but I don't act my age. I have the fact that I'm single and not burdened with stress of marriage and raising a family to thank for that. Makes me more open to changes and adapt (unless those changes are a "downgrade" or predatory in nature, then there's no point adapting to them, other than not being part of them and watch others make a fool of themselves being what others want them to be instead of being themselves.)

LOL, I absolutely adore the thread title change. During my time, indeed. The best days are the olden days. When you pay full price for something, you get the full product: not the nickel and diming happening these days with the products you buy - video games, motor vehicles, ....even food portions! "During my time" in the 70s and 80s, there's only kid's size and a single adult size meals. Now? You have Big Gulps the size of a baldi/pail and fast food meals designed to put you into cardiac arrest after eating it. Only for an extra RM1! Much wow, such value!

During my time.........internet toxicity while gaming is unheard of. Online multiplayer opened that floodgate of hate.

During my time.........people are not (or less) judgmental or nosy about racial and religious issues. And I'm thankful that my dad enrolled me into the school that reflect that same principle. Public school, I might add.

During my time..........primary and secondary education is a completely free amenity provided by the government. Now, you'll have to pay into private school to even hope to get that same level of education. Else you turn into the quality of teens frequently using the WeChat social space.

During my time..........the advertised picture of the burgers you see in advertisements in papers and TV is the same as what you get when you purchase them. Now? It's false advertising, propped up too look decevingly good, but the end result you get after paying is like having the same burger thrown against a brick wall: flat and sad. And oh, if you want the burgers that look like how it's advertised? PAY MORE by going to artisanal eateries that charges prices like it's a gourmet eating experience,....because they're taking advantage of the fact that minimum wage idiots are handling the burgers and cant be bothered to prepare them as how it should. Also, portion cuts. Big Macs in the 80s are two full patties, not one patty cut in half like what it is now. They faked it with using smaller buns now compared to what it used to, and therefore topped it with smaller "half" patties. Cheaper then than now too.

During my time I learn how to play gamble with eraser and get scolded with rotan.
