I must admit I have one particularly difficult child until today, my wife sorta quit her job to take care for this one.

Hope you have better outcome on your part.

Difficult? I would rephrase it challenging and hyperactive child.

My son, too is the same. Haha!

First born, it's normal for the adults to get all gancheong. You won't be as stressed when your 2nd one comes 😎

I feel your pain bro.

When I was traveling outstation with him along, my wife and I had to accompany my son sleeping in his car seat for an hour noon nap. yawn.gif

Apparently King Size bed isn't *King* enough for him. sweat.gif

LOL. if you think 1 years old is quite a journey. thats only season 1. got many seasons. and many filler episodes of crying because of weird reasons like want to pee but dont want to pee in the toilet, but want to pee in the shower...

you live with parents in law? this gonna make it even more difficult to train the kids. bangwall.gif after moving out. my son easier to handle. once they grandparents get a hold, kid becomes spoiled like fak.

anyways for the sleep thing, hard to train. my tips.
1. keep a routine.
2. keep lights dim/dark.
3. feed before bed.
4. know the difference between manja cry, hungry cry, and real cry.
5. dont make any eye contact.
6. dont play with them when they wake up crying.
7. remove toys out of the sleeping crib that would catch their eye or scare them.

Hi all,
It has been a while since I am posting here. My son is already 8 months old, how time flies.
Have anyone of you heard of Grolier home learning books for kids?

I have encountered this booth and talks during my weekend shopping.

I pretty much like the concept of the books and the talking pen (if I pronounce it correctly). The pictures are quite attractive and I hope my boy can start his reading habit from here.

The only downside is the package is expensive as it cost RM2k+ for full set of 84 books. However, it can last till 7/8 years old.

So anyone have reviews here? Thanks

Am not a big fan of Grolier due to its pushy marketing so I dont have any first hand experience.

But I do know you can get used sets from mudah for less than half the price.

haha. yeah i feel so annoyed they try to lure your kid in so you are stuck there. just a few books. got so many types of books out there. if you sign up and your kid doesnt like the books, then will be stuck with 84 useless books hahah.

nowdays got so many places to learn and have easy access to.

haha. yeah thats gonna be tough. hopefully your parents (both sides) can learn to be strict. so many times when i scold my son the grandparents will say "its ok" then give him his toy or whatever back. after learning to eat by himself, after stay with grandparents for a few weeks, suddenly cannot hold his fork or spoon longer than 10 sec before crying "feed me!" hahah. damn it!

Whenever my son hold both of his arms up, automatic someone will carry him. And he doesn't even wants to eat Tamago Boro (Egg Biscuits) on his own. He would tilt his head forwards and expects the food to enter his mouth......but cute la when he smiles after that. whistling.gif

Congratulations. I got no direct experience from Hospital Sg. Buloh, but from my friend's experience, it is quite good.

congrats! private is mainly for comfort. thats what you pay for. i wont say their docs + nurses are any better. if your wife is having a very standard pregnancy and you can afford it (6-15k natural to c-sec or emergency c-sec) then can consider private. if got real emergency, i think govt hospital much better though.
