QUOTE(Ash1988 @ May 22 2017, 12:14 PM) Hi all, Not sure about Grolier... but i do have a set which using talking pen .. my kids play for 3 months then feel bored .. although got language such ENG,CHI and JapaneseIt has been a while since I am posting here. My son is already 8 months old, how time flies. Have anyone of you heard of Grolier home learning books for kids? I have encountered this booth and talks during my weekend shopping. I pretty much like the concept of the books and the talking pen (if I pronounce it correctly). The pictures are quite attractive and I hope my boy can start his reading habit from here. The only downside is the package is expensive as it cost RM2k+ for full set of 84 books. However, it can last till 7/8 years old. So anyone have reviews here? Thanks Seriously i still think parent take a book and sit down with kid and read ... that the most effic way .. learning is two way communication .. means Q&A during the reading This post has been edited by MoonRider: May 22 2017, 01:21 PM |

QUOTE(zeroexz @ May 30 2017, 05:13 PM) hi all well, what your wife thought? should let her talk to parents if your didnt agree. basically old folks will get offend but for my case i hire outside confinement lady and i just let the confinement lady that dont do this... im a new father and with my baby being 7 weeks old. he is under the care of my mother in law who is a confinement lady in "profession". Im getting tired of how my mother in law handles the child, ie feeding Chinese herbs powder, letting baby get used to sleep on his stomach to maintain round head shape, frequently wanting to bring baby out to shopping mall which in modern days a lot of these are not strongly suggested (of coz not prohibited at least) by pediatrician... anyone have good ideas to fend off my mother in law? or I should let her b? my kids only go out clinic only and back to my parent house within 6 months , shopping mall or whatever not in our to do list reason that will expose the baby to virus/bacteria and they still not yet prepare for car seat.. |

QUOTE(andrekua2 @ May 31 2017, 08:36 AM) What is wrong with chinese herbs? Unless your baby has complications with it, otherwise whats the problem. what if there is an issue after taking chinese herbs, who can you complain ? how can the padae help you as there is no scrutiny on the contents from the herbs unless you going from the branded Eu Yan San.Sleeping on stomach is good too. Of course, make sure its on a flat hard like a bed with nothing else that could suffocate him. Mine sleep better on stomach. If you want round head, then sleeping in cradle. I let them sleep in cradle since day 1 and slowly remove them from the cradle once they get around 1-1.5years old. Bringing your baby out is good too. Letting him getting used to noisy environment so that he does not get scared easily by sound etc. Related to noise, there is limitation/soft baby hearing .. a loud noise/music at shopping mall may impact the baby hearing in future.. but end of the day is up to the preference of the new father .. QUOTE(quebix @ Nov 1 2017, 11:09 AM) yeah, i agree. relax bro, just enjoy ur life as father .. when the kids grow up , you be amazed how we can have lots of fun together ..if can afford to have one child, support one child. if can support 10 child, then support 10 child. not like some people, cannot support 5 child, but have 5 child and then ask for donation. pity the children. but one thing to ponder, i have a close friend, he dont have siblings. only son. he said its not easy. sometimes feel its kejam. when hi father passed away, just leave him and mother, no brother sisters to help out oso. growing up also alone. and a lot of other things. so, work hard, and try to give your son a sibling. i got 3 boys and we watch anime (one piece together), we like to go theme park together , basically we like to play ... and I dont force my kids related to education .. |
