Is the ASM convertion to new passbook mandatory (like if you give them old book to update, they will issue new book automatically) and is it free of charge? What about ASW?

Oh btw, I think the TS can update the first page about online transaction. It's not just Maybank and CIMB, it also available on RHB and Affin.

Normally if you guys manage to topup online, will u go to bank to update passbook the next day (like urgently) or you can trust the system and update passbook a long time after that?

For ASM & ASW on M2U and CimbClicks, the subscription feature permanently blocked right? Like they already set the system to display Full Unit and you will never be able to submit any topups?

I wonder how is the feature on AffinOnline? Anyone got any experiences?

Not so on-topic, but just a bit curious. Those who have seen the ASNB system used by the bank teller, how does it look like? Is it like colourful web page kind or some sort of DOS kind of old system? I always assume the teller punya system is like DOS kind. Maybe now is more canggih already.

they used oracle system. if the teller say it is insufficient fund, is that true or they might con us without trying (they always ask us to sit and wait to be called).
*
Wow, how u know it's oracle system? U work on their system before?

If online top up on Mondays , I will do multiples 10K ,. All successful...
But on Fridays 1K or 3K  sure rejected .........
gone with the wind all my s/c
*
Friday the people behind the system go sembahyang or weekend mood already?
Btw, this OL (online) topup, u think is done by the Maybank/Octopus people using the same system like the OTC teller or they terus put your subscription request to ASNB and let the PNB HQ do it?

So if yvonne assumption correct, meaning everybody's subscription request all keep together for the day and send to ASNB at midnight. So that means topup online is grabbing those leftover units after ASNB close their OTC systems and those use by agent banks (3.30pm or 4pm). Hmm, interesting. And just now I have another assumption that somebody sit behind the system and try to grab unit for you just like OTC. So this maybe is human-less and all automatic done by computer.

@yvonne, i think ur case then because u already OTC grabbed so many units during your lunch, no more left when system process yours at midnight.

Guys, if you got 1 akaun remaja with both guardian and child name, later after reach 18, it say automatically convert to akaun dewasa. But if the passbook is still the old one and already reached 18, then which name & IC should be used if want to register online? Is it follow guardian or child? Or the book need to change & register to child name?

great

meaning. RHB still allow Non bumi to subcribe ONLINE  for ASM & ASW2020...with sc & gst

Unlike Otopus & Tiger bank only allow Non bumi for AS1M
*
Have u tried yet (ASM/ASW) for RHB online? You are right, for Tiger & Octopus, the ASM & ASW subscription is permanently system blocked, which means u cannot even proceed at all.

Also AffinOnline also possible for ASx subscriptions, if anyone have an account please share if u have experience, what you are able to topup via it.

Assuming 6% returns p.a., you'll be getting RM1.5k a month - you've got to be pretty frugal to get by with that alone. Not impossible of course.
*
If a person have 1,000,000.00 in ASX then assuming 6% too, that would mean monthly Rm5k. Then can shake leg and no need to work for rest of life?

year 2001 to 2005, they juz give cheque for everyone. No question ask.

after that all paid in units. also no question asked.

tis year 2016. big question. paid in cheque or units

the answer only on 1st April when we go update the passbook
*
Ah, I see. How bout the other FP ASX, also have distributed in cheque before? Or just ASM only?

Wonder if the few days after dividend payout, will there be a lot of units up for grabs?

I've been thinking how they do interest. So since only 1st of month topup got interest, that means to be given interest the money must be there from 1st till end of month?

So if I top-up eg 1,000 on 1st day of month, if the money stay there till end of month, interest given. If take out in the middle of the month, then no interest I suppose.

If topup after 1st day of month, then interest only given on the next month.

Like that?

Ok, last time I ask about akaun remaja auto convert to dewasa. That is I got 1 akaun remaja where the book not changed since Day 1. By right, there's no need to change the book because of auto conversion like its mention. But I keep having trouble registering this account (holder is dewasa now). So I contact ASNB, then they ask for holder ID and A/C No. I gave them A/C No. and also both ID (IC and Birth Cert No. of the holder who is dewasa now). But after they check they said they cannot find any of the said account under either IC or Birth Cert No. I have given. I ask them to check what ID is tie to that AC No. but they don't want to proceed, maybe because security, Is that really? So they advise to go and update at ASNB office bring IC, birth cert and passbook together. So can it be the akaun remaja either don't have any IC/Birth Cert No. key in during that time the account is opened so it 100% is tie to the guardian IC or something like tht? Btw, the passbook did not print out any IC No/B.Cert No. too just A/C No (nombor ahli).

your problem is kinda weird.

I also have akaun remaja previously (now dewasa). I don't face any problem. My IC are linked with the account. Dad IC too are link together.

I guess that, when the staff reg for u 1st time. they forgot to add your IC number.  :hmm: only Father or Mother IC  :hmm:
*
Its one my family member's. Its ASW from way back in the 1990s. Is yours more recently opened one, maybe after 2000? Anyone with account from 90s can share your experience on this?

mine open in 2000.

ASM launched time :cool2:

Oh, yours have the IC number written/printed on the passbook?

I wonder if I register with the guardian name and IC, will it go through.. but I think (could not remember 100%) I did try that before and failed.

I have try to use holder name and guardian IC/birth cert which failed.

Annual statement is sent with holder name these years, so it should not be guardian name tie to it anymore.

ASx passbooks don't have any IC number printed. even after I change the passbook (because system upgrade & new no ahli).

yeah. it's should be under holder name & IC.

like I said, maybe the staff forgot to add IC number when 1st time registering.

the best solution is to visit ASNB office to solve the problem. don't go agents banks. they cannot help.
*
My newer passbook have though. Is written by the bank staff using pen in bracket somewhere next to the No. Ahli.
