I know there have some past threads on entry level guitar for beginners but I like to ask again based on my requirements. I've always been keen to learn guitar but dare not as I'm kinda slow in understanding music notes. Tried learning organ when I was a kid but that didn't go anywhere. Plus I have short fingers. I'm thinking to give it a second shot on music, maybe enrol in guitar class.
My bro visited a music instrument store and the salesgirl recommended Morrison for ladies. Do u think this is a good choice, keeping in mind I have short fingers (my biggest fear)? If not, any recommendation for a decent entry level guitar? My budget is no more than RM300, and I prefer to not start with a kapok guitar.

QUOTE(hustlerism @ Jan 29 2016, 10:39 PM) any cheap acoustic guitar will do. Yes i understand. I like to get advice on which of the cheap acoustic guitars is more suitable for short fingers. My ultimate dream is to be able to play finger-style but I know tht's a bit ambitious

QUOTE(goldfries @ Feb 13 2016, 01:33 AM) Short fingers also can play la, I have short fingers too. I still play guitar anyway, I play bass too. Just go enjoy the instrument. Don't think negative just because of finger length. Haha yes true. Nvr try nvr know. Guess I just have to stop thinking negatively. Thanks to all who gave some insight on the guitar types. I'm checking out all those recommended brands.

So far I've only managed to check out the Yamaha shop at IOI Mall. Are there any other recommended guitar shops around Sunway/Subang/PJ/Puchong area?

QUOTE(ar188 @ Feb 20 2016, 12:37 AM) let us know which u tried. those 3/4 size guitar also can try. yamaha got a few of those. I see that the specs for Cort AD Mini is similar to Cort Eagle mini, both 3/4 size but the AD Mini is cheaper among the two. I am also taking into consideration Morrison or Cort AF 510, price wise. QUOTE(ar188 @ Feb 20 2016, 12:37 AM) u looking for acoustic or nylon classical or electric etc? I am looking for acoustic guitar.

So I thought I post a follow up to my thread. I ended up buying a 2nd hand yamaha f310 few wks ago. I guess I have over worried on my length of my fingers. I've only learned a few basic chords so far and no problem stretching fingers. My fingers are still feeling pain but bearable for me. My concern though is that my left wrist is feeling pain. Is that normal? Also because I'm short in height , I feel like I have to lean forward a bit more when learning the chords thus my shoulders also a bit tired. I keep telling myself to relax shoulder.
