QUOTE(unknown warrior @ Feb 16 2016, 08:02 PM) Usually what most Christian girl/guy are concerned on being unequally yoked with non believers is to avoid family conflict/arguments due to religious culture & difference. Believe me It will happen. It's either from the couple or the parents. im an atheist. I dont care about the ceremony, it can be under a tree or a church or anything. If you have a very stout religious parents, you will have problem in having a blessed marriage. Don't think either parents will budge. Unless you and your parents are okay with getting married under Christian ceremony and will not stop her from her faith and you are willing to be open to Christ, you may have chance. From God's perspective why God disallowed this is because Marriage is a sacred matrimony. We believe when Man and Woman come together they become ONE in spirit. Your potential life partner have God's own Spirit in her and If you're from another religion, we believe you have another spirit, there can be no union when both have different spirit of different religious background. I'm sorry if I offended you but this is what I can explain. i never did stop her from practicing her faith. I'm spiritual, in my own ways. Not the typical Judaeo-christian spirituality, but I understand her beliefs too. |
