When you understand and have this revelation, everytime you fall or fail as a believer, your State of Righteousness does not change. But What do you do as a believer? Keep on confessing that you're a sinner? No, you dishonour the Work of Christ. Keep on Confessing that Your Righteousness is of Christ. Your Actions Does not merit you Righteousness.
*
Hi unknown warrior - I am approaching this from the context of confession in prayer - In this case do we still confess our sins in prayer, or is it that we should only shy away from condemning ourselves as sinners in prayer?

For goodness sake, if one's faith is strong why would they get aroused easily?  hmm.gif

I deleted the picture. Hope you are happy.

Interestingly the bible does not say something around the lines of "if your faith is strong you will not feel unwanted sexual arousal".

Instead the bible gives us these verses:
1 Corinthians 6:18
Genesis 39:12 (story of Joseph and Potiphar's wife)

And also the following verse - indicating He will provide us with a way of escape and resist temptation, but never to not feel temptation itself.
1 Corinthians 10:13

I guess I also fall under the old uncle category. Haha.

Would be better if you upload them to a hosting website (I use imgur), copy the JPG links and wrap them in IMG tags.

Or just upload it to imgur and share the album with us? biggrin.gif

It comes mainly from these thoughts.

I prayed for Healing but God doesn't heal, so it must be his will for the person to be sick, etc or

I prayed for Protection but God did not protect, so it must be his will for the person to be in tragedy.

But if we know the word of God....This is far from who God is.

Maybe your next writeup could touch upon the sovereignity of God and worldly tragedies... smile.gif

Let me rephrase for you:

A Very Rich Man gives you a RM1 Million Lamborghini out of his grace.

He tells you like this:

I give it to you FREELY as my act of Grace, but you just have to accept it.

rclxs0.gif

I think the answer you are seeking may lie in John 6:25 onwards.

God has given us grace for us to freely respond to. By His sovereignty He has determined who will seek this salvation. We choose to respond to God's calling because He had first reached out to us that we will be sent to Christ, hence our response of acceptance by itself is bestowed upon God's grace. From a human perspective it is "We choose to accept Jesus", but from the eyes of God it is "You were chosen by Me!"

If God can provide us with the appropriate response to His calling, He will also provide us with the Holy Spirit for repentance.

Had been doing a bit of a read up recently about Human Responsibility in line with God's Sovereignty. Understanding this is still out of this world for me, but hopefully I'll be there one day. Maybe... unknown warrior?

Yes, Jesus already gave Hint, he will give us the Salvation unmerited either way in verse 27 whether we understand it or not and yet the Disciple ask "What works of God must we do?" And verse 29 is the Key.

The Flesh in us always wants to have that Self Glorification in qualifying by our effort (verse 28)

Salvation is granted of God and God Alone. Our part is to receive it as unmerited without conditions.

With this Correct Understanding...There will be a Rest and Faith In Christ that Gives God the Glory because it hinges of the work of Christ.

When We depend on the Grace of Christ Alone, God gets the Glory.

If we say, We must respond with Acts of repentance.....In Other words I ALSO got it, by my effort. That discredit Glory to God Alone because now we are involved.

No. Salvation is the work of Christ and Christ Alone, NEVER can involve Man.

With all the talks between denominations, arguments about doctrines, churches against other churches, I could only marvel at the mercy and grace of God, that He made very clearly the only condition to salvation is as depicted in John 14:6.

Seems like weather is too HOT for you until you get very agitated by me asking you to do more reading/research.  This thread has become a thread of can't  making comments/suggestions/views, and especially knee jerk reactions/comments.

I suggested you to do more reading/research as there are different theological interpretations on Judas betrayal.  Free Will or something else.  I personally find it would be very interesting to read and learn of the different theological interpretations.  But, somehow this is a thread of "if you are not with me you are against me fellowship", "prosperity burgers oops! gospels" and "grace".

I'm wasting my precious time in this thread.

Anyway, you win. rclxms.gif

The only knee jerk reaction is from you. Posting single liners with links and not being specific with what you're trying to say is irritating and gets in the way of the materials being posted on this thread.

If you have an argument, learn how to argue it. Not post links and ask someone else to prove themselves wrong/right and in turn complement what you think is right/wrong.

Which part of Netherlands if I may ask?

Just to share - I was for a few weeks over at the Hillsong Church in Amsterdam; Was truly humbled with how God works to expand and grow them - being in a very permissive environment they still reached out and grew quite well. They don't actually have a building of their own at the moment, and as such they rent a nightclub for their weekly services.

I remember that Caleb had a really low status in his society. I mean, his name is literally 'Dog'.  And dogs have very low sattus in middle eastern region. He's the Ah Gao  of his people sweat.gif
