Ravi Zacharias ah yes that guy is awesome. Listened to some of his vids and I agree with him. Had some stuff I wished I listened sooner when people blasted pro-athiest stuff at me when I was a teen.
I've learned that we don't always have to respond to everyone and anyone. When the time is right, God will bring people whom He has been working on, to you and will give you words and wisdom to dispense to that said person.
It's won't be from you, it will originate from the Holy Spirit in you.
Well it did occured to me that grace is God. According to OT, the origin of the word in Hebrew, ie, "Kana" refer to God.
Transliteration of the word, "Charis" means favour, kindness, brought to man by Jesus.
If the church knew then why don't they teach it? Instead of going in circle?
Because some pastor lack confidence that the goodness of God (which is also define as Grace) will lead people to repentance.
Because they see people as always not ready for God, living in sinful lifestyle, therefore they have more confidence that fear will lead people to repentance as in the Old Testament way. So they preach hell, doom and gloom or strong obedience to the Law.
The New Testament is the New Covenant in effect. The Old Testament way has been nullified and void at the cross for the believers. And New Testament says it is GRACE that lead people to repentance.
Romans 2:4 (NIV) - Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?
Titus 2:11-12 (NIV) - For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,
There it is, clear as day.
The point is...preaching hard on the Law (you must love God more! You must obey God's Law!, etc etc) is not going to work for believers because God does not backup on that covenant. There are Christians who doesn't know this.

Sounds like military brand preaching to me. To brainwash and put fear into people. No wonder I see these zombies type of people in church.
It's stem from rationalizing with the logical mind. Naturally that's how it works in the world. Using Fear.
BUT God's way is always mind blowing and different.
They'll say it doesn't make sense and just too good to be true for God's goodness to lead people to repentance because by this they think...why would anyone repent if God keeps on being graceful and forgiving. That is the natural mind thinking.
but they don't understand God's way is far more powerful than Man's way can ever be. Do you know the Law of God in the OT is nothing more than the focus of Man's way?
Thou Shall Not Thou Shall Not.
Who is that "thou"? Who is the focus there..."thou"???
I rest my case. When it comes to anything to Man, is not going to work. And yet people until today still think they can. The vanity of religion which if you think about it..it's the same for all other religion focuses on Man trying to work their way to God.

Maybe they like doing ritualistic things. For example, the sign of the cross. As far as I know only Roman Catholics and Anglicans do this right? What is the significant of it?
If you see football match, when a player scores a goal, IF he's a Catholics, he'll do the sign of the cross.
We love our God with all our heart and soul, I believe that's the belief for some Christians.
Pagans have rituals too.
Ephesian 4:11-14 (NIV)
11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.
Notice the focus is on The Knowledge of the Son of God only?..... and not on any saints..the way to recite prayers or whatever rituals there is?
And who is Jesus Christ personified? Answer = (again) GRACE! <-----Look up Hebrews 13:9.

Actually what is the function of the saints in Roman Catholics? I read there are over than 10K Saints in heaven?! What?! Who's keeping track?
Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teaching.
The Saints, the Apostle, the Teachers, Evangelist ALL MUST have 1 goal..point people to Jesus Christ, to be united in Faith on this.
Still back to Christ Jesus, his finished Work, the Cross is more than enough, because there is where all our providence lies..Our Healing, Our Prosperity, Our Protection...our everything.
These scars aren’t pretty But they’re a part of me And will not ever fade away These marks tell a story Of me down in the valley And how You reached in with Your grace And healed me
They remind me of Your faithfulness And all You brought me through They teach me that my brokenness Is something You can use They show me where I’ve been and That I’m not there any more That’s what scars, that’s what scars are for what scars are for
Erase, rewind Wish I could every time The hurt, the pain cuts so deep But when I’m weak You’re strong And in Your power I can carry on And my scars say that You won’t ever leave
They remind me of Your faithfulness And all You brought me through They teach me that my brokenness Is something You can use They show me where I’ve been and That I’m not there any more That’s what scars, that’s what scars are for
I see it on the cross The nails You took for me Scars can change the world Scars can set me free
They remind me of Your faithfulness And all You brought me through They teach me that my brokenness Is something You can use They show me where I’ve been and That I’m not there any more That’s what scars, that’s what scars are for They show me that’s what scars are for What scars are for What scars are for
Pls enligthen me why lone wolf is bad idea. U know everyday we meet ppl we need use money for cup of tea and some snack yet at highclass place. For every sunday gathering at church is good idea.
Family is God's idea. Same with the Church. It's his idea, a gathering of believers coming together to worship God.
Meeting regularly with believers is also God's idea because it is encouraging.
This institution can be found in the word of God in Hebrews 10:25.
Why Lone Wolf is a bad idea?
Ecclesiastes 4:12 (NIV) - Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
But in the real social we face. Some ppl does ignore us and does not like our way speaking. Can u pls guide me? I want to join church 1 day and every week attend. What should i do in the first day since i go alone? Does ppl there will notice me and guide me? Can i have to introduce myself infront all of them?
You can actually pray to God to help you find the right Church.
That's what I did when I was looking for one.
Oh don't worry about that, if the Church has genuine relationship with God, they will notice you and greet you.
Because there are some cults...just be careful, if no one notice you at all or approach you being the first timer....well you can look for another Church.
Here got 2 big church st thomas and methodist The rest are base on shop lot Should i go big church? I not really asocial guy and a shy abit when deal with alot ppl I might scare
Either Church is fine.
You can try Methodist if you want then try St Andrews the next time.
It really depends on the Church.
My Church Calvary...for example we take care of 1st visitors, we have a welcome VIP lounge for such guest to explain how and everything about the Church. Then we try to connect you to smaller groups (if you're willing to join) so that you don't feel lost.
The part i join small group make me scare. That why i am lonewolf. Later i cannot speak good english and they abandon me
Oh..don't worry about that, not all Christians speaks Ang Moh Language you know......... many speak cantonese, mandarin, hakka, Hokkien.....some Tamil...
Just take time to get to know which people you can talk to in the language you're comfortable.
In any Church......every Christians have different level of understanding, what they learn about God....each has different characters...different background...meaning some are mature...some are not.
The mature one will encourage you and try to make you feel at home......so they won't look down on anyone because of speaking problem.
Huh... why It not about comfortable or not Becos i use to alone do stuff and dislike ppl disturb me. I go church n pray n back to home or shop simply like this. I think i go try on this sunday and hope can get positive
