Can I share how I pray about it?

First I realize we're not going to live like that in Heaven.

With that revelation, I just ask God to remove every form of lust from my life. I told Him I don't want it anymore.

The key point is; I don't want it anymore.

Is it possible you may still want to hold on to part of it? If it is, then perhaps that is why.

I'm not talking about whether you have the power to abstain from it, that is a different thing but the very first thing you need to settle once and for all, is as what I've asked you.

Better than sit down do nothing. I voice up. I can see a bit of change lately at DUMC, they toned down on their giving message. Some pastors are giving more sermons about submission to each other and fellowship. I think the Holy Spirit is starting to touch them.

So much for bitterness as some say, because if I am bitter, I would have left the church a long time ago. I just drained by the message of serving over all things else.

You better do a lot of research on mission before you get yourself involve. There would not be flush toilets and you likely have to sleep in a cow shed with the cows excreting shiit halfway and mosquito bites.

If one is contended, one is in trouble. Because it is the unsureness of whether wanting to be single or on the other side, being married. or just no choice, because of the way of the world, to be single, so just go with the flow. Sooner or later, the Devil will attack, and contention becomes frustration. One has to be Joyful to be single ! Happy to be at that status. To be contended means still have the heart and dreams of wanting to be attach/married.

Life is not easy as pie, that's why the church leadership not only has to build up our faith but also develop caring, kind and accountable members, we care for each other. We look after each other, that's what sets us apart from the gentiles out there. I am not saying in terms of $$$, I am saying prayer, asking "hey how are you?", visiting each other houses, when fall sick - come to hospital to see, help out moving house, etc. But all DUMC does is saying, God will take care of your needs, entirely neglecting the need for us to be unify.

Do you have to feel bitter to complaint? Can't a complaint be out of concern?

Yes I know one or two junior pastors. I don't have much opportunity to talk to the main pastor.

Thats the thing, leadership always regard a person as nagging or complaining. Its how a church shut down dissenters by saying this person is an empty gong. There is no relation between bitterness and complaining. Have seen quiet bitter people before.

Well, not sure you have dug a hole to poo before.

Just because one is single doesn't mean one should not try to get married.

It's not the matter if you can.

What I mean is that the first step is to tell God, you don't want ALL parts of lust not just a part of it via prayer, I believe God will answer and honor that.

Whether you're able to do so will be a journey of Faith, it is usually not immediate though it can.

If he's not bitter, why does he complaint about it all the time?

There could be a couple of reasons why he kept 'harping' on the issue. Maybe he didn't get the answer/advise he is seeking for? 

Sure people can address an issue out of concern but that would not be a complaint?

I did not dispute 'addressing an issue our of concern is NOT a complaint' but about 'being bitter about it' in complaint. Instead of profiling the complainant, shouldn't we be fair too to look into the issue being brought up? I do find those issue are 'real' and most church goers do encounter them. Yeah, I know, it happens and nothing much we can do about it.
People complaint because they find the situation unacceptable to their desired condition. Is that not it?

Well, generally yes but some would just like to bring to the attention and hoping it can be change for the better but if it doesn't help, it doesn't really matter (in my case). Having said that, not all is looking at 'their (own) desired condition' only but for the good of others too.
