Guys, do you think a lego box will survive an airplane check-in luggage on its' own?
In Japan now & eye'ing crawler crane + arocs (~rm850 each), but as I wasn't pre-planning to buy, I don't have luggage space for it.
Thinking just buy them and ask the shop to wrap paper then check in ... but ... scared the boxes will disintegrate in-flight lol.

Aurora thanks thanks, I'll try do that. Luggage allowance no probs cos me n wife coming to JP only used ~20kg combined.
Box dented I no care, as long as it doesn't break apart and bricks all over the cargo hold lol.

Reporting in back home from Japan. I bought mobile crane and arocs for total ¥45k (just under rm1.7k). Packaging - just used the paper bag given by the store then plastic wrap at airport. Boxes still feel super study and secure! 👍🏿

QUOTE(vcxv @ Feb 9 2016, 12:31 PM) Did u checked in the luggage? Or brought inside the cabin? Check-in. The two boxes survived the trip very well QUOTE(fox_shinoda @ Feb 9 2016, 12:51 PM) Pass custom? Paiseh, I fly to SG leh. SG residents got GST relief up to sgd600 per person so even if customs had stopped me I wouldn't need to pay any GST. Just wanted to share for future that if you wanna buy lego overseas but no luggage / box to pack it in, it should still survive the journey in the cabin hold de.
