QUOTE(oxm8 @ Jan 28 2016, 09:36 PM) Very simple, if you have a car, get into your car and go to the SYABAS centre where your property jurisdiction is and then enter the SYABAS centre and ambil nombor giliran. Make sure you take the number for termination/registration of account. When your number is called, tell the customer representative that you want to terminate your account. He/She will guide you and ask you to fill in the form and even ask you to make an appointment with them so that their office can go and remove the fuses. Your refund will usually be ready within fourteen days in the form of cheque or you may request them to deposit into your banking account. *if you do not have a car, then replace "car" with any public transportation of your choice |

Also make sure the new owner has transferred the account to his/her name, otherwise the water supply or electricity will be cut off and it would be very troublesome. Just a courtesy, make sure they have done so.
TNB procedures are acceptable. Syabas is a bit tedious on the documentation part. Also make sure you bring enough cash to pay for the deposit as they do not accept credit card! Go there as early as possible to avoid long queues. |
