I think the Mr Colour shine silver should be close enough to gaia star bright silver. But, there are more expensive MR Color series that might have better shine. From the GX series, MR metal series or the super metallic.

If you want to use Tamiya one, Silver Leaf might be sufficient too.
Where is your location?
I did bought some MR Colour paints and put it inside my checked-in luggage from KK to Penang. Not sure about international or other country restrictions.
There are multiple sources for paints from local seller.
From Penang:

Ask them thru email or phone call, their website is not updated sometime.

Red Comet. Carries Gaia, Mr Colour, Valejo and games workshops (warhammer series).

Currently I am on industrial attachment in Korea.
Noted that "put it inside my checked-in luggage from KK to Penang" no problem.
Also, I will return to Malaysia by end of year. Just worry if I stock up my paint here, later cant bring to Malaysia.

. Ask Korea pos, they said they dont accept paint. Only choice check in luggage.
Currently wife complain, gundam box so big. how to bring back to Malaysia. Need to stop buying.
